Lexmark Platinum Pro905

The Lexmark Platinum Pro905 prints, scan, faxes, copies, sends e-mails, and connects to the Web.

Fast photos. Prints on both sides of a page. Automatic document feeder. Works as standalone e-mail sender.

Slow (for the price) for business applications. Several features don't work quite they way they should.

Lexmark Platinum Pro 905 review: Lexmark Platinum Pro 905

Lexmark Platinum Pro 905

Fast print speeds; two separate paper trays; easy wireless setup; comprehensive driver features; foolproof Smart Solutions widgets.

No Bluetooth support; expensive; auto-document feeder not adjustable.

The Lexmark Platinum Pro 905 is a fully capable all-in-one business device, but its touch screen might throw a wrench in your workflow. The Smart Solutions widgets add virtual customization to the control panel, but we wish Lexmark had retained a few...

Lexmark Platinum Pro905

Lexmark's latest printer comes with a platinum card style price point, but it's too slow for all but the most patient print users.

Good print quality, Smart solutions, Additional paper tray, Touchscreen works well

Slow print speeds for everything, Lower tray is A4/Letter only

"Pricy Problem maker"

What a crap machine Scanner stopped working as the left hinge worn out with very light and normal use, say 200pages in total scans... and today the machine does not boot past the Lexmark logo. the only good thing about it is the fact that it uses cheap...

Economical when working

must use colour inks, constantly reboots, 100% problematical

"Great prints and scans before it fell apart, quit scanning and now quit printing."

I used this printer quite happily for about 6 months before things started going wrong. Now a year later it is a paper weight. Very poor quality/durability. Disappointed more than anything as I did a lot of research before purchasing. So hear I go...

Great print quality and scans

Fell apart and quite working. Cheaper to replace than repair.

Not worth the price.

I chose this printer as it was being touted as one of the lowest price per page printers around. That's been about the only positive I've had with the unit. See my "Cons" list. We've had occasions were we needed to scan or fax dozens of pages at a...

Print cost per page is good

Poor touch/keypad operation Software solutions don't work consistently on both PC & Mac BIG: Left hinge broken with regular/gentle use. Now sheet feeder jams because of misalignment. No repair center in my area will touch it.

Consumer review (cnet.com)

Initially worked great, quickly went down hill.

If your looking for a printer that will work well for about 4 months, then this would be it. It looks great and out of the box functioned great. That didn't last and didn't come back.

It looks great. When it works, it works pretty well. It offers many of the functions necessary to be productive. Wireless is a great option!

This printer does not last. I would classify it as a disposable printer. It's function was fickle at best after 4 months and was more frustrating than it's worth.
