Lexmark C734dn Color Laser Printer

 

Lexmark's C734dn color laser printer ($899 at this writing) has an overenthusiastic color palette and a few small design problems. Nevertheless, it should satisfy most mainstream offices with its speed, cheap toner, and features aplenty.

Very fast; easy to use; low-cost toner ; Automatic duplexing; banner printing

Colors tend to be oversaturated ; Toner design is awkward to use

Offices will like the speed, features, and low cost; the default color palette is oversaturated.

The Lexmark C734dn is the top all-around performer in this review. Coupled with a great government price, it's the reliable and accurate color printer that most people will want to see in their agencies.

Lexmark's business C734dn laser may be quick, but is let down by high running costs

 

A low-cost colour laser with fast colour printing and good expansion options, but running costs are high

Initial running costs will be even higher as Lexmark ships the printer with ‘starter' cartridges. You get 256MB of memory included, and additional RAM is prohibitively expensive
