Lexmark Prestige Pro805 inkjet multifunction

This business-focussed inkjet multifunction printer offers Lexmark's SmartSolutions feature

Automatic duplexer, easy to use touch screen, cloud-based printer settings, good networking capabilities

Slow print speeds, poor print quality, some SmartSolutions widgets aren't Mac compatible, no bundled photo printing software

Though relatively expensive, Lexmark's new mid-range inkjet multifunction is easy to use and manage thanks to a large touch screen and SmartSolutions widgets. Unfortunately, it is hampered by poor print quality and slow speeds.

Lexmark Prestige Pro805

The Pro805 frustrates as much as it innovates with a touchscreen interface and an interesting, iPhone-style app store.

Very nice touchscreen ; Good plain text quality

Ink tanks very difficult to insert and remove ; No fax ; Frustrating Smart Solution set-up

Lexmark provides a three-year on-site exchange warranty. The Lexmark website also includes a number of downloads including driver updates for new operating systems. Support is via email or via a 1300 number which we had to call during the Smart...

Lab Test: Lexmark Prestige Pro805

As we've come to expect from Snow Leopard, installation was a breeze. Once we plugged the four cartridges in we were ready to print. The 4.3in display is complemented by an array of touch-sensitive buttons for setting up the wireless networking and...

Single paper feed; network scanning software

Print quality was good with our test photos and Pages documents well rendered, although we did find that blacks weren’t quite as black as we’d like.

I recently purchased the Lexmark Pro 805. I didn't try to install the printer by myself, instead choosing to contact Lexmark's on-line tech's. The tech was very friendly and knowledgable and I had the printer, desktop and laptop all configured...

Great Machine

This is the best printer I have owned in a LONG TIME, it comes with FULL Ink cartridges, XL ink cartridges. $4.99 for a black cartridge, 500 pages? Cant beat it!

Prints Beautifully, Ink is Cheap, Easy to Setup, Saves Wireless Settings even when powered down. Very easy to add additional computers. The Disc that came with my printer worked fine

The scan to computer isnt quite as intuitive as it should be...but its not a big deal

OMY its a printer!

install to network, use disk, my install on a windows 7 PC. Wireless N is key, don't need to run more cables. Too many now on my PC. Software does not use a ton of resources. I am a gamer. Low ink cost!!

Got on sale + discount with a trade in. Big plus. stylish, great scanner. Fast print for text documents. Photos are done very nice. Basic black INK for printing low price. Low ink price was the motivation for me, and the sale

HAVE to USE the disk to install! USE THE DISK! for adding to wireless access. USE THE DISK. its on there. Just use it! Took a little time for me because i did not use the disk a first

Love it!

I had a tried and true HP OfficeJet G85xi for 10 years. It was a great machine but the ink was expensive and it was slow compared to where printers are now. Plus it was HUGE! So I started looking into other models and this one came highly rated. I...

Fast, Quiet, Energy Miser, Outstanding print quality for the price, CHEAP INK

Of course some business folks might get mad they gotta turn the printer on, or they might be having a problem with the software or the printer isn't in perfect HD quality. I read so many negative things I almost got scared away. But I'm so glad I...

Does everything the specifications says it will do. Its easy to get started and the software did everything for me. I have one wireless laptop working flawlessly and 1 desktop wired computer working flawlessly in sync with the wireless. The touch...

Best printer for my budget

For what I paid, and for what I run it on, it's a great printer for personal and low-key use.

I got this printer on sale for $150, given I couldn't afford a color laser, attracted by the lowest black ink cost on the market, a penny a page, and it can print color, so provided you don't print gobs of color this is a very cost-efficient printer to...

Poor print quality, it skips and sometimes comes out with scanlines and misses spots here and there on the normal setting, much more on draft setting, blurry in places, colors need a lot of work to get right, and just doesn't look like a great print...
