Print quality needs a lot of improvement; bundled software has weird limitations.

With its built-in wireless capability, the Lexmark Z1420 looks like a bargain until you see the prints it outputs. If you value print quality, look elsewhere.

Portability is high on the list of requirements when choosing a printer. The Lexmark Z1420 Wi-Fi printer is lightweight and has a slim design - making it a very portable printer.

One of the neatest features on Lexmark's Z1420 is that it comes with 802.11g and 802.11b compatible wireless built in. This is handy for the growing number of people who prefer to work purely from a laptop. Not having to plug it into a single computer...

Wireless networking, stylish Mac-friendly casing, decent print quality

Quite slow printing speed, flimsy construction, software is basic and isn't designed for the Mac

Even though both the CDs are labelled as being for Windows PCs, we were able to load drivers using these CDs on a Mac, which gave us access to basic maintenance tasks such as nozzle cleaning.
