Pogo

The camera world may have gone digital, but the name Polaroid remains synonymous with instant photo prints. So it's not surprising that Polaroid has introduced the $150 PoGo portable printer.

Small, battery-operated printer Prints are adequate

Power adapter is nearly the size of the printer

In the end, the PoGo's appeal lies in its mobility and its near-instantaneous picture production. The $150 price is steep for what amounts to a one-trick gimmick printer. But that doesn't detract from the silly fun people can have by printing pictures...

Polaroid PoGo

If you still get warm and fuzzy thinking about those James Garner and Mariette Hartley Polaroid commercials, it's time to let go of the past. Traditional film is barely hanging on, and Polaroid has completely ceased production of instant film.

Power brick is huge; battery life must be improved

Polaroid PoGo

When you think of Polaroid, instant prints reminiscent of years past come to mind. Today, Polaroid is bringing similar instant print gratification to digital camera and camera phone users with its PoGo mobile printer.

Other than a slight humming noise when printing, the printer was completely quiet. Print quality was very good for some shots and disappointing with others. Some nature shots showed excellent color and detail, while skin tones appeared overly...

Polaroid Pogo review

Remember Polaroid's instant cameras? They were simple and fun to use, though they certainly wouldn't fit in the average pocket. The film was expensive, and Polaroid finally stopped manufacturing it earlier this year, so an era has officially ended.

Relive the dream of instant photography. A practical mobile photo printer that's a lot of fun.

Polaroid's 21st century answer to its eponymous instant camera prints straight from your phone without ink. But is it iconic enough to inspire its own song lyric?

Pro photographers won't use it, but for quick convenient prints the PoGo is hard to fault

The Polaroid Pogo is handheld mobile photo printer. It allows users to print borderless colour images in less than 60 seconds. It is a great way to share photos direct from cameras and mobile phones by turning them into instant prints. The Polaroid...

The concept underlying the Polaroid PoGo doesn't differ much from that behind the original Polaroid instant camera - except that this time the printer is a separate peripheral from the camera itself, and you don't have to shake the output to make the...

Review: Polaroid PoGo

The digital age may have put an end to the Polaroid camera, but the company hasn't yet given up on the idea of instant prints. Polaroid PoGo is a mobile printer that creates 2x3s of the photos on your phone. It's portable (roughly the size of a...

PoGo is a whole lot of fun to use, and has plenty of room for development. The technology is impressive, but the price needs to come down and the quality improve before it really takes off.
