ViewSonic LightStream PJD7830HDL

ViewSonic considers the LightStream PJD7830HDL projector suitable for both home-entertainment and business use, but it does a better job with data than with video.

Bright, punchy pictures ; Extremely good price for what's on offer ; Thoughtful connectivity

Lots of rainbow effect ; Average black levels ; Needs very careful setup

Average black level ; Potential for rainbows

Forget the PJD7830HDL's lacklustre blackout performance; anyone interested in home cinema perfection will just have to pay more. This cost-effective DLP all-rounder is firmly aimed at the use-it-anywhere crowd, which all projector makers must surely...
