Marantz AV7005 Networking A/V Processor Review

Marantz has released a solid feature packed product with their new Networking AV7005 A/V Processor. It has top notch audio & video performance and is very reasonably priced.

Great channel separation ; 7.2 balanced output ; MM Phono input ; Packs a billion features: a true feature creature

Cumbersome remote ; No S-Video ins / outs ; No Audyssey XT32

Marantz AV7005 7.2 Channel Preamplifier First Look

The Marantz AV7005 Pre/Pro has all of the features and processing power of the SR7005 receiver (sans the amps) plus balanced outputs. At $1500 this appears to be the A/V pre/pro to beat.

The hardest part for interested consumers will be the wait. The Marantz AV7005 Pre/Pro won't be available until October. But at $1500 for a Pre/Pro with just about every feature on the planet, it's a wait we're betting a lot of people will be willing...

Marantz AV7005

- I was going to buy a Linn DS (for high quality stereo CD etc.) as well as this pre-amp BUT this does the job, for me at least, for streaming audio. Superb! - Film HD sound is brilliant too AND at low volumes - very clever!

err ...errr - Have had it for 2 months now - no issues yet.
