I have owned mine for a year now, it's a brilliant bit of kit, truely awesome.

Good sound quality, easy set up, connections, future proofing

Guess what? remote, but I don't care as I am using a Harmony one

Pioneer VSX-LX70

Great AV receiver. Was using VSX-AV2AV-S prior to LX70. Once I saw the upscale picture, I was sold.

Very clean and accurate upscaling from any source to 1080 ; Lotsa power to spare ; Top quality finish ; AUTO calibration with speakers painless

el-cheapo remote for a gigantic monster ; Setup screen is no match for SONY ES series color interface

I shopped around the internet and Hi Fi stores and got mine for $2000 a saving of $999 who cares about the remote, it's whats under the bonnet that counts.
