Yamaha RX-V1900

All-in-all, an excellent offering from Yamaha. The video processing is superior, and the audio has a lively, dynamic quality to it straight out of the box. The unit has features that others only include on much higher priced models, and the build...

Yamaha RX-V1900 Seven Channel Home Theater Receiver Reviewed

Andrew Robinson found the sound of the RX-V1900 "more involving and dynamic, especially with uncompressed audio codecs." He also said the surround sound "rivals separates" and added that the "overall soundstage and spatial separation is to die for,...

Yamaha's signature sound has always been a bit livelier and in your face, compared to say Onkyo, Denon or Marantz, which is the case with the RX-V1900. While it can be tamed with DSP or manual EQ adjustments, I personally like it and find it more...

Yamaha still can't streamline their set-up procedures and onscreen menus and the RX-V1900's system is no different ; The remote is okay but a bit cheap and mismanaged. I would recommend a third-party universal for long-term use with the RX-V1900. The...

The $2,000 club of receivers is as hot as ever, with seemingly every manufacturer offering an option or two. Some are good, others are great, but none can touch the Yamaha RX-V1900, for it plays in the category but costs much less. This is probably why...

Yamaha RX-V1900 Receiver Review

After a long term test, can this Yamaha offer Home Cinema perfection?

Excellent and refined audio quality for 2 channel and surround playback ; Good Build Quality ; Above average video processing and switching ; Good quality amplification ; Handles all HD codecs ; Good connectivity ; Excellent Value for Money

Limited menu system ; No networking or DNLA connectivity ; YPAO auto set up and room EQ not as accurate as competing systems

Best of the mid-priced Receivers

I'm very pleased with the Yamaha RX-1900 receiver. I've put it thru many tests and tried all kinds of equipment with it. I have had no problems at all. I can highly recommend this receiver to anyone.

This receiver really does everything right. Setup is easy but very detailed ; Pro on screen volume. Even with composite hook ups. A lot of receivers I looked at didn't have this ; The FM radio with HD Radio is really good. I can pickup almost every...

The setup menu could have been made nicer looking. Has the old black back ground look. Although it very complete and fairly easy to use ; The remote could have been made better. It does pretty much everything I need it to do. But it seems dated ;...

Beats Denon AVR3310ci

I've been researching for the last couple months wanting to upgrade from my Marantz 5002 and it came down to the Denon AVR3310ci and this. Both were being discontinued and just about half price so I bought both figuring I'd sell the one I don't want to...

User friendly, lots of power, uncolored, clean and neutral sound

Runs a little hot but I guess that's what you get with 130 watts x 7

Take a chance!

Buy this for it's sound quality and not it's video features. If you already have good video sources this unit works as a great HDMI switcher. The remote could be better. I give this 5 eggs because the sound quality makes up for the lack of better video...

Take a risk. This model has some reports of people getting bad units... but if you manage to get a good one, you will be amazed. I was trying to decide between this and this models replacement but at this price the few extra features and the nicer OSD...

Video scaler isn't so great with HDMI sources. (i.e. Cable box.) You are better letting the TV do it. The new model has HQV which is insanely better
