LG LST6100P

The LG LST-6100P set top box delivers decent digital TV reception and HD quality output, but it's marred by an interface that can be frustrating to us...

Supports HDTV, supports 5.1-channel surround sound

Has an unintuitive menu system, some features are poorly implemented

Despite a few faults, the LST-6100P comes good in the end, giving users access to the full digital TV experience.

Only thing going for it is the great picture

Picure quality is great on my 50" plasma.. Channel changing was slow.. Unit stopped working after 1 month, and it was repaired under warranty.. 1 year on and the unit has stopped working again, I can't even say that I have used it a hole lot.. Not happy??

Bad

I use to be a fan of LG products,but this thing packed up just out of warranty.My question now is how much, and is it worth getting fixing? LG lcd maybe not"

The picture quality.

The unit was working fine up until about three months after the warranty ran out.

Good

I'm VERY happy with my LG 6100p STB. I just love the connectivity at the back. It's a sweet, handsome unit. Don't understand the bashing this set gets from other users. Doesn't have the fastest channel changes but that doesn't bother me.

Connectivity, sensitivity, picture and build quality are all good. Even looks nice!

Slow channel changes. Remote has to be virtually pointed directly at unit.

Terrible

Was promised by JBHI that this unit was the best quality wise, but overall I could not imagine a worse Hi def set top box. Recently tried an elcheapo teac unit costing about 1/5 the cost of this unit and it was far more stable, had more functionality...

Can do 1080i

Sound drops out when signal strength is at 100% and pixelates frequently Very suspectible to interference from lights, appliances, etc Sllloooowww to change channels Most basic functionality, even cheap no name brands have more functions Remote has to...
