Full HDTV support ; HDMI, component and RGB output ; huge hard disk

It ain't pretty

As long as you're not too worried about how it looks, the HDD-J35 is an awesome PVR, with outstanding HDTV support.

It seems obvious to me but not to most who have commented in this forum that INIt stands for the INITIALISATION process as the program loads. If you care to look carefully the last letter is a small t & not a capital E as the format of the LED cannot...

Excellent performance & reliabilty with my machine

Little, provided no-one tries to tamper with the complex programming inherent in such a machine

Paid $1 599 for the unit 2.5 yrs ago and it's on its fourth return to base at the moment.....Toshiba have been great all along...but now they are offering me $600{I don't think this is enough} for the unit instead of fixing it yet again....???!!!

When it's working it's unreal...easy to use...great functions.

In the time we've owned it the unit has spent at least 12 mths either not working or at the repair shop....the con ...the unit is not reliable

I have been using my HDD-J35 regularly now for three years and it has not needed to be touched since installation. It has worked flawlessly apart from about 3 or 4 freezes and only very occasional short-lived pixellation. Recording is easy and flawless...

Great picture and sound. Very reliable when set up properly and left alone.

Very little. Could do with a bookmark to save the place in a program.

Don't buy one of these units - totally unreliable. Repair not always successful and takes atleast a week as the service centre is in Sydney.

Toshiba service is polite and relatively efficient - they pick up and return the unit via couriers for repairs. So far no charge for the repairs.

The unit has been repaired atleast 6 times in 2 years.When it works its great, but the problem is that the picture freezes or pixelates with alarming regularity
