Garmin Vivosport (2017) review

GPS ; Heart rate monitoring ; Smart notifications ; Slim / lightweight ; Counts sets and reps

Touchy touchscreen

Don’t be fooled by the small package. Garmin’s Vivosport is a full-featured GPS smartwatch tucked into a fitness band. It’s light, attractive, snappy and features everything most anyone needs for tracking all around fitness metrics. Sure, there are...

Garmin Vivosport's price drop makes it more appealing

This slim "smart" activity tracker features GPS, a heart-rate monitor, color touch-screen and 15 built-in apps.

The Vivosport packs smartwatch features into an activity-band design that's lightweight, comfortable to wear, and has good battery life. It's fully waterproof and has built-in GPS and 24-7 heart-rate monitoring.

Some of the features are a little difficult to access. GPS can take too long to lock in.

The Vivosport is a good fitness companion for people who want an activity tracker with plenty of advanced features.

Garmin Vivosport

The Garmin Vivosport costs a little more than other sports band-style fitness trackers, but makes up for it in features and functionality.

Comfortable. Easy to operate. Great automated activity-tracking options. Customizable. Supports push notifications.

A little expensive for a sports band. No swim tracking.

If you like the style of the Garmin Vivosport, there's no reason not to get one. It's reliable, durable, and accurate. If you're not sold on the Vivosport's design and would rather get a more fashionable tracker, check out the Vivoactive 3, a current...

Review: Garmin Vivosport, a lightweight in size but not in features

Review: Garmin Vivosport, a lightweight in size but not in features

Very lightweight ; Built-in GPS ; Brimming with features ; Good battery life ; Water-resistant

Screen is tiny and finicky ; No swim mode ; No support for external sensors

The best way to describe Vivosport is as souped-up activity tracker. It comes with Garmin’s full gamut of fitness tracking smarts and throws built-in GPS into the mix. This allows for detailed tracking of your running and cycling adventures, no phone...

Garmin Vivosport Review

One of the newer, more affordable offerings from Garmin, we found the Vivosport to fall a little short in our tests. It is a little too pricey and doesn't...

This middle-of-the-road fitness tracker is relatively uninspiring and failed to impress. It's a little on the pricey side and doesn't really stand out from the pack. It's a definite improvement over some of the previous Garmin models in terms of being...

Garmin Vivosport Review: A Good GPS Watch Alternative

The Garmin Vivosport feels like a fitness tracker that's made for someone who doesn't want to pay full price for a sports watch with embedded GPS and support for a variety of workout types. This comes at a price: At $199, the Vivosport is more...

Comfortable ; Embedded GPS ; Swim-rated ; Music controls

Sensitive screen ; No interchangeable bands ; Bland design

The Garmin Vivosport is a GPS-enabled activity tracker with features you typically find on higher-priced sports watches.

Garmin Vivosport In-Depth Review

A few weeks ago as part of Garmin's trifecta announcement of new Vivo-labeled products, they announced the Vivosport (along with the and ). In many ways the Vivosport got overlooked as it lacked the fashionista flashiness of the Vivomove HR, while also...

Garmin Vivosport review

A small band with a lot of tech

Small for a full GPS tracker ; Good battery life ; Fair heart rate accuracy

Bland design ; No swim modes ; GPS can be slow to lock on

The Garmin Vivosport doesn't have the style of a Fitbit or the high-tech vibe of a Samsung Gear. However, this is one of the smallest fitness trackers that has full GPS/HR tracking and an altimeter. It brings max tracking power with minimal bulk.

Garmin Vivosport review: Unobtrusive tracking

This small and unobtrusive wrist-based fitness band does a lot for a fairly little price. It's become a daily driver in our fitness rota.

Small and unobtrusive design ; Decent battery life ; Well rounded tracking ; Can act as heart-rate monitor for other Garmin devices - such as Edge cycling computer

GPS acquisition can sometimes be slow ; No swim tracking support ; Screen a little fiddly at times ; Bespoke charging cable

It might not be brand new, but this capable fitness tracker can integrate into your daily life and record your exercise routines too. Not much is missing for the relatively low asking price, which'll make it well worthy of consideration for those not...
