Nokia Steel HR review

Attractive design ; Intuitive app interface ; Good selection of health programs ; Solid battery life

Mineral glass is prone to scratches ; Notification alerts are basic

If you’re looking for a svelte watch that does a great job masking its fitness tracking abilities, the Nokia Steel HR is an excellent choice for the money.

Nokia Steel HR smartwatch Review

As far as hybrid smartwatches go, not a whole lot has traditionally been expected out of them. Smartphone notifications are a given, and unlike other hybrids we've seen, the Nokia Steel HR has these covered – at least...

Elegant, versatile design with tasteful customization options ; Broader activity tracking than other hybrid watches ; Weeks-long battery, quick to recharge ; 5 ATM water resistance

Health app needs more content (programs, insights, resources etc.) ; Lacks music controls

Nokia Steel HR review: A hybrid watch with a new name but old issues

Nokia's update to the Withings Steel HR is more than just cosmetic, but the company lets one notable weakness to continue to ride.

Stylish, elegant design and compatible with standard sizes of watch bands ; Excellent battery life ; Water resistant

Inconsistent automatic exercise tracking ; Inaccurate data for activity and sleep tracking ; Official leather bands for 36mm size watch are still too large for small wrists

Nokia’s minor reworking of the Withings Steel HR makes for a hybrid watch that will appeal more to watch lovers than data lovers.

Nokia Steel HR review

This reborn Withings tracker is still a fine marriage of analogue looks and digital smarts

Great battery life ; Attractive looks ; Neat screen

Very basic notifications ; Not perfect for fitness training

More than just a pretty face, the Steel HR is smarter than your average hybrid watch

Nokia Steel HR review

A hybrid watch with heart

Stylish design ; Accurate heart rate monitor ; Easy to use companion app

Expensive for a fitness tracker ; Limited fitness features ; Less competitive battery life

The Nokia Steel HR may be on the expensive side of fitness tracking, but it has a gorgeous design and could be a great choice if you don't want a normal fitness tracker.

Nokia Steel HR review: A classy, minimalist smartwatch

The Nokia Steel HR brilliantly fills the gap between classy timepiece and feature-packed smartwatch

Stylish, minimalist design ; Looks like an ordinary watch ; 25-day battery life

Limited range of notifications ; Connected app support could be better ; Quite expensive

Whether you want to pay £170 for a device that doesn’t offer full smartwatch features such as notifications, Google Assistant, NFC payments and GPS, then, is up to you, but for me, the Nokia Steel HR straddles the gap between classic timepiece and...

Nokia Steel HR Review: A smartwatch with sheer class

The Nokia Steel HR (a rebrand of the Withings watch of the same name) is a best-of-both-worlds smartwatch: the activity tracking of a Fitbit, coupled...

Bags of style ; Superb battery life ; Full tracking ; Strong value

Limited notifications

For 189 Euros, the Nokia Steel HR really is good value for money. That cash nets you a great-looking device that can track all of your usual fitness stats, with seriously long battery life to boot. The only drawback is the dinky digital display,...

Nokia Steel HR review

  (Rating Hidden)

Nokia bills the Steel HR as having the longest battery life of any heart-rate tracker on the market - but does the battery life of this fitness tracker stack up? And what else does it have to offer under the stylish watch face? We put the Nokia Steel...

The nicest activity tracker to rise above the LED screen masses

The Nokia Steel HR is everything I (and most people) want from an activity tracker. It will measure steps and calculate distance. It will work out rough calories and takes heart rate measurements throughout the day. The watch itself is really nice and...

Pointless product

A Christmas gift but after two months I've still to see the point of it. It requires a smart phone to sync with, but my smart phone already does most of what this watch claims to do and does it better. The step counter counts only about 75% of actual...
