Polar M600

Polar's latest and most impressive device to date is a three-in-one runner's watch, fitness tracker, and smartwatch. It has an optical heart rate monitor and is fully waterproof, but cramming in all that functionality means big hits on battery life and...

High-quality build. Built-in optical heart rate monitor. Runs modified version of Android Wear. Waterproof. Works with both Android and iOS devices.

Bulky. Short battery life. Occasionally high heart rate readings in testing. Can't set a custom activity goal.

If you're in the market for an excellent running watch with a heart rate monitor that also counts steps and has some smartwatch capabilities, the Polar A360 and the Garmin Vivoactive HR are much better options. Both are still on the bulky side, and...

Polar's new Android Wear fitness smartwatch is chunky but capable (hands-on)

The Polar M600 has GPS, interval training, a built-in heart-rate sensor and phone notifications.

Polar M600 remains the best GPS smartwatch available thanks to Android Wear 2.0

Last fall it was clear that the Polar M600 was the best smartwatch and GPS sports watch combination. Even with the Apple Watch Series 2 and Samsung Gear S3 releases, there are reasons the M600 remains the best for athletes looking for one watch that...

Polar M600 review

With the Polar M600, you'll get an accurate heart rate monitor, GPS capabilities, and plenty of notification options and third-party app support thanks to Android Wear. It certainly brings a lot to the table. It is about $100 too expensive, though,...

Accurate activity and GPS tracking ; IPX8 water resistance ; Two-day battery life ; Plenty of third-party fitness apps (thanks to Android Wear)

Large, bulky design ; Display is a tad small compared to the overall footprint ; Software can be buggy at times ; Should be ~$100 cheaper

Polar M600 review: For Android users who want to be more connected during workouts

Is a true Android Wear sports watch worth $330?

Bold, bright touchscreen display. ; Onboard GPS and space for local music. ; Rated IPX8 so you can swim with it. ; Android Wear will add useful features and notifications for those connected to an Android smartphone.

Bulky design makes it hard to wear all day. ; Heart rate monitor can be slow to catch up to high pulse rates. ; Expensive for what it offers.

At its core, the Polar M600 is a good fitness watch. It's designed to be put to the test in any high-intensity workout, whether you're in the pool, on the slopes, on the court, or outside on the track. While the M600's heart rate monitor could be...

Polar M600 Android Wear GPS Watch In-Depth Review

It's been a touch bit over two months since Polar announced their first Android Wear device, the M600 GPS-enabled watch. This running/lifestyle/not-triathlon focused watch was not only unique in Polar's stable for being Android Wear, but for also...

Polar M600 Review: Better Smartwatch Than Running Watch

Overall, the Polar M600 looks and behaves more like a smartwatch and less like a running watch. The integration with Android Wear is slick, and Polar Flow is a clean and easy-to-use app, but the watch falls short of expectations once you start running....

Smartwatch notifications ; Accurate GPS, heart rate monitor ; Easy-to-use Polar Flow app

Bulky ; Disappointing activity features ; Short battery life

The Android Wear-powered Polar M600 is good as a smartwatch, and has built-in GPS, but itꞌs not a great running partner.

Hands-on: Polar’s new Android Wear based M600 GPS Sport Watch (with music!)

Today Polar announced their latest wearable, and in the process also signaled a shift in direction to a far more open platform than they've ever had in their 39 year history.

Polar M600

Polar isn't short of know-how when it comes to sports watches; its M400 GPS Running Watch was one of our all-time favourites. The M600 is altogether a different wrist-based wearable.

The Polar M600 is a very capable sports watch, with Android Wear the added bonus.

Polar M600 review

A smartwatch with comprehensive fitness tracking chops

Built-in GPS ; Robust fitness tracking ; Waterproof

Screen shows scan lines ; Not the best-looking smartwatch ; Poor battery life on iOS

If you're someone looking for a competent blend of fitness tracker and smartwatch, the Android Wear-powered Polar M600 is the ticket. Although, there are some hardcore fitness trackers that can last longer and provide more accurate GPS results.
