Adata's claim to be the first manufacturer in the world to use JMicron's JMF616 controller in their S596 Turbo SSDs, is in fact true. Searching through the internet, I couldn't fnd any other manufacturer which used the same controller for their SSDs...

Our first look at JMicron's latest JMF616 controller chip reveals it strengths and weaknesses

We didn't expect the ADATA S596 Turbo to break any records, but it was surprisingly fast in the AS SSD tests, where SandForce's DuraWrite compression technology isn't a factor, even if the drive didn't handle the compressible data of ATTO especially well.
