Corsair Force LS (240GB) Review

Like many manufacturers without a NAND fab or controller technology, Corsair's SSD portfolio has focused a lot on SandForce based SSDs, but Corsair has been exploring other options as well. Corsair has used controllers from SandForce, Marvell, LAMD and...

Ironically (given our introduction), if you're looking for an inexpensive SSD these days, your best bet is likely going to be one of the many SandForce SF-2281 drives. The 240GB SF-2281 drives are routinely available for around $170/£105, sometimes...

Corsair Force LS 240GB SSD Review

Corsair teamed up with Phison to add another level to the Force brand. The new Force LS uses Phison's S8 controller and Toshiba NAND flash.

Corsair Force LE 200 SSD Review

We're approaching a radical shift in storage technology that will impact computer users all over the world. NVMe is poised to dominate the retail market in late 2017 with a projected 70% market share. You may wonder how that's even possible when SATA...

High performance for DRAMless ; Several invisible controller features ; Brand recognition ; Software suite

Planar NAND ; Weak endurance ; High price for DRAMless category

The Corsair Force LE200 is currently the best of what DRAMless technology has to offer. This isn't a drive for heavy write workloads, gamers, enthusiasts, or power-users, but it's a quality part for people that need a low-cost upgrade to surf the web....

Corsair Force LS 240GB SSD Review

With value-oriented SSDs becoming viable options for entry level consumers and enthusiasts alike, manufacturers have been rushing to meet the demand.

Corsair’s SSD lineup is one of the strongest around with the Neutron and Force series competing well against alternatives from other

Corsair Force LS 240GB Review

Corsair introduce a new addition to the Force SSD family - Force LS features the Phison controller and plans to deliver great performance at an attractive price-tag.

Good performance ; Affordable ; TRIM Support ; 7mm in height (can be installed in slim notebooks) ; 3 years warranty

Fell behind in Iometer benchmarks ; Unknown reliability with new controller

In the last 6 months SSD prices have plummeted and the fight for storage limelight has become increasingly fierce. Have Corsair done enough to steal the attention?

Fantastic SSD!

If you are looking for a SSD I would get this and you can't beat the price.

Easy install super cheap for a good brand. Machine boots super fast and 240GB is plenty of room of an OS and a few games that I play the most. Speed for this is great!

As of now I have nothing I would change.

Awesome

SSD that fits best bang for your buck. I got this on sale for 58.99 and can't complain

Cheap, solid performance, reliable this far, easy to install.

The only gripe anyone could have is about a the SSD not coming with a spacer.

Consumer grade at best.

Solid construction. Black and Yellow color scheme matches most of the Corsair products sold to consumers. Simple packaging. Nearly plug and play in most devices. DEVSLP support. To some users, this might be an upgrade from the Corsair Neutron XT Series...

For most users, installing an SSD should be a simple process. Unfortunately, that was not the case this time around. My initial install of Windows 10 refused to boot after the installation completed. I had to resort to troubleshooting drive and...

A long way from my first Corsair Force 30GB SSD

Whenever possible, I configure desktop systems that have a SSD for the system and application files and a mechanical drive (or drives in RAID) for the media files (Documents, Music, Video, Games). For that purpose, the 120GB SSD is perfect for my main...

-No-frills design & packaging -Good value -Although the 3-year warranty is fairly average, my previous experience with Corsair’s products tells me that it will go well past that.

Something to be aware of/Minor Con: As with many SSDs these days, there are no extras with this drive, not even a plastic shim to make it thicker if needed. This drive is 7mm thick and in the case I have mine in, it goes in a slot that was designed for...
