Great!...Until it died...

Kinda spooky that four months seems to be the exact amount of life that most people are getting out of this drive. It's almost doubled in price since I bought mine in January, too. I was going to get another to set up a RAID in case this happens again...

- Super Fast: switching from a HDD sped up overall performance considerably - Worked fantastically...until it failed

- Sudden Death after almost exactly four months.

Rank 1 Garbo DO NOT BUY

Read other people's reviews. This item is no good.

Use to work.

Failed after exact 90 days. 500/150 MB read/write not as advertised. Feel like PNY brought recycled junks from a China and slapped PNY logo on it. Such a disgrace of a item, Wasting people's time and effort trying to RMA.

4 months later a Paperweight

I purchased the 240 Gb version. Do not buy this device, especially at the current prices. I hope PNY makes good on their warranty. I will let you know.

Was an ok price at the time for good specs. Good Looking.

Write speeds are somewhat slow. After 4 months of use became a paperweight. It is still recognized in the bios but it states that the size is now 0.0Gb. It is not recognized as a boot device, cannot be accessed to read its' files and is now worthless.

Great Value for a Basic 240GB SSD

The below benchmarks were run on an Ivy Bridge i5 on a Z75 chipset running Windows 7 x64. Drive was NTFS formatted then tested. AS SSD Benchmark 1.8.5636.37293 ------------------------------ Name: ATA SSD2SC240G3CL476 SCSI Disk Device Firmware: 1105...

- 5 Year Warranty. Most drive are now coming with 3 Years. - Product packaging is nice and easy to open. The drive comes packaged inside a silver static bag inside a foam-lined cardboard box inside a paper sleeve. A plastic spacer is also included. -...

- The performance is mediocre, however this drive is priced in the budget segment and I consider the performance I'm getting perfectly adequate for the price - Lack of Information. I really couldn't find any independent reviews or benchmarks on this...

Works as advertised

For a "cheap" SSD, it works as advertised. I would buy again.

- Plugged it in an detected on first boot. Installed Windows 10 to it without issues. - Good price - MLC

- Not as fast as some other drives, but less expensive

Nice SSD for the price

Get one, it's worth it, but if you need the bragging rights for benchmark comparison forums, look elsewhere.

There are faster SSD drives, but they cost a lot more. This is affordable and is a quality drive with solid construction, features and memory type (MLC). The warranty is also pretty lengthy in comparison to other drives in this price range.

Not the fastest, however I did not notice any "seat of the pants" performance penalty compared to the Samsung 830 (120GB) drive I replaced. I've done benchmark comparisons between both drives and "on paper" the Samsung 830 is faster, but all I can say...

Great Value for a Basic 240GB SSD
