Good Budget 480GB TLC SSD

Using HDTune I received 375MB/s sustained read speeds and 165MB/s sustained write speeds. I calculated that this drive uses an approximately 4.8GB cache. The AS SSD benchmarks below were run using a 1GB and a 10GB test file size. The benchmarks were...

Price - The 23 cents per GB I paid for this drive is a pretty good value. Packaging - PNY's SSD packaging is the best of any SSD I've purchased. The drive comes in a silver static bag packed in soft foam in an easily opened cardboard box. A stick-on...

Performance - The overall performance is not as good as PNY's predecessor model the CS1211, but that drive was MLC-based.

So far Great

I would recommend this drive to others, good price point.

Small size, 500Gb of storage, generate very little heat writing the entire drive. So far so good. Came with a 30 day liscense for imaging software that worked ok for imaging a boot drive.

None so far :)

PNY SSD7CS1111-480-RB (CS1111)

It was incredibly difficult to finally get my laptop to recognize it and allow the OS to be installed onto it. Once I finally managed that I have not had to do anything to it and it works great.

This drive works wonderfully and seems a little faster than the failed hard disk drive it replace

Excellent drive... With a few reservations

This drive is being used in a laptop, I didn't want just 240 GB in my mobile machine so I opted for the 480. The 240 is going into a desktop machine I'm building where I can add more storage.

Fast drive. Excellent boot-up time and while I don't believe in synthetic benchmarks, file transfers happen almost instantly. Excellent load times in games. I previously got a PNY 240GB version and love it as well

Unlike the 240 GB drive I got, this one had a LOT of dead cells that Windows had to clean up initially. I would have large amounts of areas that closed themselves off, and after about three days it cleared up when I reinstalled Windows 10 again. I had...

Got this drive for a new build to be primarily used for mathematical modeling and light gaming. My last build is from 2006, and still running strong!, but I want something faster for my complex algorithms and extensive models. I chose this SSD as I got...

PNY not bad

AS-SSD results were: 4k Read/Write: ~5000 IOPS 4k-64QD (Queue Depth): Between 40 and 60k IOPS SEQ: ~300 - 400MB I was slightly disappointed with the 4k single read/writes, but how often does Microsoft OS and applications ever have just a single request...

Inexpensive. See other
