Anker SoundCore Flare 2 Review

The Anker Soundcore Flare 2 ($79.99) is a lot of Bluetooth speaker for the price. It's portable, it's waterproof, and it can produce an LED light show that syncs with whatever you're listening to. On the audio front, the drivers can get loud and...

Relatively solid audio for the size and price. IPX7 waterproof rating. Speakerphone functionality. LED light strips can flash various colors to the beat.

Not much deep bass. EQ in app cannot be customized.

The portable Anker Soundcore Flare 2 speakers delivers solid audio and cool LED lights in a waterproof design for a fair price.

Anker Soundcore Flare 2 Speaker Review

The Anker Soundcore Flare 2 is a small, portable Bluetooth speaker with multicolored lights. Even with the BassUp setting on, it struggles to reproduce low-bass, and the upper harmonics of vocals and lead instruments can be dull or dark. Fortunately,...

Amazing soundstage. Graphic EQ.

Lacks low-bass. Doesn't get very loud.

The Anker Flare 2 is fair for music. With its BassUp setting on, it still struggles to reproduce low-bass. Vocals and lead instruments are clear and present, but higher frequency sounds like sibilants can be veiled and dull. Also, it doesn't get very...

Anker Soundcore Flare 2 review: A new excuse to party by the pool

Like the original Flare, the Flare 2 is a Bluetooth speaker, a bit larger than a 16-ounce aluminum can, equipped with 360-degree speakers that pumps sound out in every direction. Like its predecessor, it's also got significant waterproof protection...

Wireless + waterproof + LED light show = sounds like summer Solid omnidirectional audio Can sync up to 100 speakers

Setting up PartyCast mode is complex No way to check battery charge level directly on the speaker Useless quick-start guide

Sync up multiple speakers and take the party anywhere with this versatile unit.

Soundcore Flare 2 review: This budget-friendly speaker sounds amazing and has a trippy light show

Don't let the flashy LEDs turn you away from one of the best value portable Bluetooth speakers on the market. Anker's Soundcore Flare 2 is definitely worth checking out. When I see flashy LED light Don't let the flashy LEDs turn you away from one of...

Fantastic audio quality with strong bass and tunable EQ 360-degree audio ; Fun LED lightshow options that are customizable and can react to the music ; Built-in microphone is great on calls ; 12-hour battery with USB-C charging ; PartyCast can link 100...

Buttons on top of the speaker look identical and the labels are really hard to see ; No auxiliary audio-in port ; Speakers need to be re-linked with PartyCast every time you turn them on

The Soundcore Flare 2 offers an incredible value, along with a fun light show

Look no further than the Soundcore Flare 2 for an affordable Bluetooth speaker

We're big fans of Anker for its powerful batteries and accessories, but it also has a foothold in the portable speaker space. The Soundcore Flare 2 ($79.99 on is a portable Bluetooth speaker with a customizable sound experience and...

Anker’s Soundcore Flare 2 checks all the boxes we look for in a Bluetooth speaker. It sounds good, has great volume and bass, and has decent battery life. And while these aren’t the best, we still had a great time with this speaker, especially when...

Anker Soundcore Flare 2 review

The first generation Anker Soundcore Flare impressed us with its great sound, build quality, and surprisingly excellent app. For its second generation, Anker took the “if it ain't broke, don't fix it” approach, retaining everything we loved about the...
