B&W ASW 610XP Subwoofer Review

The B&W ASW 610XP is a sealed 10” 500watt subwoofer with a compact footprint, impeccable build quality and forte for music. Its size limits its overall output earning our Small Room Bassaholic rating.

Bullet proof” (well protected) ; Tiny ; Very good parts and construction quality

Limited low frequency extension ; Limited output headroom

B&W's new ASW610XP subwoofer may be compact, but it delivers a mighty punch

Formidable extension and ability from a surprisingly compact box ; sounds as exciting with music as it does with films

A PV1 will sound cleaner at very high volumes ; that's it

As forceful as it is articulate - not cheap, but ideal for big bass from a small box

I bought this sub for mainly music listening. Compared to the SVS SB-12NSD and 12" Monitor Audio sub, this sub is far more tight, accurate, higher resolution, and goes deeper.

Resist the temptation to turn all the dials to 11 and the B&W Sub will add a whole new dimension to your system - it has far more poise and control than any sub at this price-point has any right to possess! Once set up is complete (take your time!)...
