Cambridge Audio Bluetone 100

While it isn't flawless, the wireless Cambridge Audio Bluetone 100 speaker sounds magnificent when at its best.

Powerful audio performance with bright highs. Widely adjustable bass levels. Multiple Aux inputs for wired playback.

Can distort at top volumes on deep bass tracks. No playback or navigation controls on system.

If you can't handle the very minor distortion issues on deep bass tracks at top volumes, that's understandable—it shouldn't be an issue in this price range. The slightly pricier Soundcast Melody and the Polk Audio Hampden both deliver solid audio...

Cambridge Audio Bluetone 100 Bluetooth Speaker Reviewed

The Cambridge Audio Bluetone 100 is different from most of the other Bluetooth speakers I've used lately in that it is a larger speaker, relatively speaking, at 13.9 by 7.2 by 4.6 inches and nine pounds. It's still easily moved...

The Bluetone 100 is versatile, with its multiple inputs allowing it to serve multiple roles ; The midrange and upper mid-bass have more warmth and fullness, giving solidity to vocals and many instruments that other smaller Bluetooth speakers cannot ;...

The lack of clarity and detail in the upper midrange and treble can strip some of the detail and texture from your music ; Not having a remote is no problem if you can control the sound from your source device, such as an iPhone via Bluetooth, but it...

The Cambridge Audio Bluetone 100 rocks hard and loud, filling a void left by most other Bluetooth speakers. While the Bluetone 100 lacked the upper-frequency energy and finesse that we seek from our audiophile speakers, this did not detract from its...

Cambridge Audio Bluetone 100 review

A bold, engaging performance, but there are more talented rivals out there

Lively and agile Punchy, controlled bass aptX Bluetooth

Just a bit lacking in clarity and transparency

We haven’t been quite as taken with the Bluetone 100 as we were with its box-of-tricks predecessor, craving more transparency and clarity. Even so, its punchy, agile and well-balanced performance is not to be sniffed at.

Cambridge Audio Bluetone 100 review

Cambridge Audio is a familiar name to fans of affordable hi-fi, and the Cambridge Audio Bluetone 100 is its latest Bluetooth speaker offering. Unlike some Bluetooth rivals, it's chained to the mains, but Cambridge claims that its 100w amplifier and...

Much better than a Sonos

  (Rating Hidden)

I've had this speaker now for about 6 months and it is great, it's well built, looks good and has great sound. All forms of connection work perfectly and i haven't had any problems. My friends have a Sonos and I believe it is a pretty tinny listening...

Very easy listening

  (Rating Hidden)

This is the sort of sound you could listen to all day. I have compared it to the JBL2 and TDK A33 and would caution that the midrange of the Cambridge Audio Bluetone 100 could be better. What is most impressive is the high quality Bluetooth wireless...

Mine was faulty

Bought mine from Amazon. Volume control did not work neither did AUX input. You also have to reconnect Blu tooth each session, a minor pain but a pain never the less. Audio good but not exceptional no remote. Sent mine back to Amazon as faulty, have...

Perfect for my workshop

I wasn't looking for a portable speaker and didn't want any added features-just good sound and a bluetooth connection. The Blue tone provides that in full with a lovely warm sound and plenty of volume. I can leave it plugged in and my iPhone connects...
