Within the limitations I’ve stated, the DALI KATCH ONE offers good value for money. It has easy integration with your TV and remote control through the HDMI ARC interface.

The Dali Katch is a tale of two halves: its exterior aesthetic has some not-so-hot moments, while its audio artistry is second-to none. The battery life is standout for a portable Bluetooth speaker too.

In the end, though, the Dali Katch stands alone. It’s the best-sounding, best-looking portable Bluetooth speaker on the market today and deserves all the plaudits it gets, beating my former favourite, the KEF Muo, for sheer audio quality.
