Quad L-ite Soundbar Speaker System

Quad is one of those great speaker companies whose pedigree encapsulates some of the fascinating and significant parts of audio history. The name is an acronym for Quality Unit Amplifier Domestic. Born in London in 1936, the company first produced...

Quad L-ite Plus

Quad's superb speaker system delivers epic sound from compact cabinets

Outstanding build quality ; Potent bass performance ; Detailed sound

Could be a little more aggressive ; Larger than most compact speakers

On the back you’ll find stereo RCA input and output, LFE input, a phase control switch and dials to control volume and crossover frequency.

Quad L-ite Plus 5.1 package

Quad's L-ite Plus is a fine package, but its price puts it up against some formidable rivals

Lovely integration both between the satellites and to the subwoofer ; Pleasing detail resolution ; Even tonal balance ; Fine build and finish

Sound lacks enthusiasm ; Quality of the competition

This package, then, delivers a really good performance both with music and movies – but it’s not quite class leading. Its measured delivery sacrifices entertainment for analysis to a certain degree.

Quad L-ite Plus 5.1 review

Compact speaker systems can be real problem-solvers in small rooms thanks to their size and cosmetic appeal, but their inherent lack of cabinet volume means they're not always the most commanding performers.

Elegant styling; solid build quality; potent, immersive sound with excellent dynamics and good scale; detail reproduction

Safe sound lacks aggression; plenty of other rivals at this price point

Quad L-ite Speakers Are A Real Delight

If you're after a traditional-looking, top-performing loudspeaker package for around $3000, Quad's L-ite package could be the baby.

QUAD has downsized its L Series loudspeakers to a more diminutive design. The result of this shrinkage is the L-ite multichannel package.

Quad L-ite Compact

Nice little speaker when used as the rear channels in part of a 5.1 surround sound set up, where the front pair are larger quad speakers, body finish is excellent.

The low frequency range is a little weak, but that's not an issue if you have a supporting sub-woofer. Don't think I'd use them as a stand alone front pair, but maybe they would be ok in a less demanding situation, i.e bedroom or dining room.
