Urge Basics Soundbrick Bluetooth speaker: It's not sexy, but who cares?

There may not be anything particularly spectacular about the $60 Urge Basics Soundbrick, but it's a solid wireless Bluetooth speaker that sounds better than some competing products in this price class.

The modestly priced ; has a simple, attractive design and a decent feature set that includes a built-in microphone for speakerphone calls. It also offers a little more bass than many speakers in this price class.

Flashing blue light on front of speaker will annoy some people; the speaker has some bass but it still sounds comparatively thin.

While it doesn't do much to distinguish itself from the competition, the Urge Basics Soundbrick is a decent enough wireless Bluetooth speaker that has an attractively understated design and a built-in speakerphone.

works great, but disappointed in the buttons

I bought another speaker of the same brand a while ago that had volume buttons on the top instead of skip song buttons. I liked the the volume buttons better, but there is nothing i can really fault this one for. i thought this was the same one i...

no volume buttons.

A great little speaker with no distortion!

I get "big speaker sound" out of my Note 4 and my Chromebook with this speaker. I love the fact that I can boost the volume to compensate for my 66-year-old ears. I also like the included cord that allows you to hook to any device that has a headphone...

None that I have found.

Consumer review (newegg.com)

Decent

DON'T buy these speakers if you'll primarily use it for the line out. When a song is not playing, there's a lot of static. I ordered two and both have the same issue. When music is playing, everything is fine. Good deal overall for a small speaker.

Great sound for a small speaker

Not as loud or clear as my Bohm Soundblock. Static in between songs when using Line Out
