Dell Latitude 10 review: a business-friendly Windows tablet with great battery life

The Dell Latitude 10 is a solid Windows 8 tablet with stellar battery life, but it quickly becomes expensive -- and bulky -- when you add on the corporate-friendly peripherals.

Long battery life ; Bright IPS display ; Lots of business-friendly security features, accessories ; Useful productivity dock with plenty of ports

Some design quirks ; Expensive with peripherals ; No portable keyboard

There are plenty of things to like about the Dell Latitude 10, in no small part due to the vast number of optional accessories that boost the device's productivity chops. Even without the swappable four-cell battery, this machine offers good longevity,...

Dell Latitude 10 Review

The Dell Latitude 10 is a capable Windows 8 tablet that's hindered by slow internal components and a design that isn't in balance.

Dell Latitude 10: Can an Atom tablet cut it?

This 10-inch tablet has Windows 8 and great battery life, but with serious trade-offs.

The ; offers excellent battery life, and costs less than many other Windows 8 tablets.

With an Intel Atom processor, performance is limited, and some apps seem far better optimized for the hardware than others. Storage is limited to 64GB, and USB connections are all the slower 2.0 type.

The price difference between an Atom tablet such as the Dell Latitude 10 and a Core i5 one doesn't seem large enough to justify the performance gap. But, the Latitude 10 makes up for it in part with a very long-lasting battery.

Dell Latitude 10 review

After an initial wave of Windows 8 laptops with sliding, twisting, folding, or detachable screens, we're now seeing a small flood of pure standalone slate-style tablets with Microsoft's new operating system. These systems often include a keyboard and...

Review Dell Latitude 10 Tablet

Record-breaking battery life. The 60 Wh battery the Dell Latitude 10 ships with is presumably one of the largest ones ever used to power a tablet. According to Dell, the result is a battery life of up to 30 hours. The business tablet is not without...

Very good battery life, Battery is removable, High-quality display, Active digitizer, 3G/UMTS, Solid and sturdy chassis, Good build quality, Configurable, Finally: software supported under Windows combined with the usability of a tablet. Dell also...

Not very powerful, Sound quality not that great, Inferior camera, More power. Compared to the processors used in notebooks in the same price range, the Intel Atom Z2760 is pretty weak

Dell Latitude 10 review

The Atom-based Latitude 10 is short on performance, but delivers excellent battery life — especially with the optional 4-cell battery. Although some aspects of the industrial design and build quality could be better, this is a decent business-class...

Very good battery life (with optional 4-cell battery) ; Pen input support ; Desktop dock option ; Mobile broadband option ; Business-class security and manageability

Sluggish performance ; Design and build quality could be better ; Options erode the initially attractive-looking price ; USB 2.0 ports rather than USB 3.0

Conclusion The Atom-based Latitude 10 cannot compete with ultrabook-class Windows 8 tablets like the Surface Pro in terms of performance. However, it delivers much better battery life — especially with the optional 4-cell battery. Although some...

Review: Dell Latitude 10 Windows 8 Tablet Review

The Dell Latitude 10 is the first Windows 8 tablet (as of this writing) that makes sense to me… despite the P33K price tag (it runs Windows 8 Pro; the Windows 8 config is cheaper at P30k). You will buy a Windows 8 tablet for work, and work is often MS...

I think the advantages the Dell 10 has over the ASUS Smart, if you’re thinking long-term use, is that tough-rugged exterior (you’ll need that if you have kids around and if you’re a klutz like me) and the potentially long battery stamina because the...

Review: Dell Latitude 10

The Dell Windows 8-based Latitude 10 is built to appeal to the business market. With all day battery life, pen support and ability to offer a docked computing experience, could this be an office hit?

As odd as it sounds, when looking at tablets for the workplace these days the main competitor could well be the iPad. While Microsoft and Intel have been taking their time creating the hardware and software to pull off decent tablet experience the iPad...
