Dell Latitude 12 Rugged Tablet (7202)

With its durable build, solid processing power, and long battery life, the Dell Latitude 12 Rugged is a capable tablet if you need to work in extreme conditions.

Rugged design. Lots of connectivity options. Security features. Solid performance and long battery life in testing.

Heavy and bulky. Low-resolution display. Rubber port flaps don't have locking mechanisms.

Conclusion The Dell Latitude 12 Rugged is a beast of a tablet that's fully fit for the outdoors and treacherous conditions. It packs solid performance in a shock- and dust-proof body, and with two hot-swappable batteries, its one of the longest-lasting...

Dell Latitude 12 Rugged Tablet Review

Tough. Rugged devices sometimes have to operate under the most adverse conditions. Dell's Latitude 12 Rugged tablet presents itself as a robust workhorse with stamina.

rugged design, bright screen, good battery life, interface diversity, good system performance, 3-year warranty

viewing angle dependent TN screen, low resolution, CPU lags behind its potential

In a nutshell: Dell continues its Rugged lineup consistently. The manufacturer wraps an 11.6-inch tablet in a robust casing with diverse security measures. The build quality is almost impeccable. Many interfaces are offered, and the connectivity can be...

Dell Latitude 12 Rugged Tablet: The toughest Windows tablet today?

This tank-like tablet has a durable design, allowing it to withstand some of the toughest climates.

It's strong, durable, and withstands drops, knocks, and almost anything you throw at it.

It's heavy and expensive, and you don't get a huge amount of performance for that price.

Dell Latitude 12 Rugged tablet

The Dell Latitude 12 Rugged tablet is designed for use in environments where regular rain and muck are the order of the day. Whether it's your parcel delivery man asking for a signature in the English drizzle or an oil worker inputting data out on a...

Good overall dust and water protection ; Tough chassis and screen cover ; Screen works when wet and when wearing gloves ; Excellent battery life + two batteries ; Adequate overall performance

Screen resolution not ideal for more detailed tasks ; Port covers not the most secure ; Grime could get into CPU fan

Dell Latitude 12 7202 Rugged Tablet review

A solid choice both figuratively and in the flesh

Very solidly built ; Great value for money

Old processor ; Small SSD ; Warms up more than expected under load

The Dell Latitude 12 7202 might have an old processor, but a deep discount scheme combined with a plethora of accessories and parts mean that this rugged tablet is well and truly a bargain.

Dell Latitude 12 7275 Review: In Depth

Dell Latitude 12 7000 Series (7275) 2-in-1 Tablet Review: We test Dell's Surface Pro rival, the powerful-but-pricey Latitude 7275 tablet that boasts a 4K screen...

Gorgeous 4k screen ; Comfortable typing ; Decent performance

Poor battery life ; Needs a large flat surface

The Latitude’s advantage over rival Windows 10 2-in-1 devices is its 4K display, which is truly magnificent for getting productive or enjoying your media on the move. However, you’ll certianly need to pay up for those quality visuals, with a price that...

Dell Latitude 12 Rugged Tablet (hands-on): Meet the tablet that thinks it's a tank

Kicked, thrown into a hedge, and dropped repeatedly. I put Dell's latest rugged tablet through its paces -- falling short of asking a New York cabbie to drive over it -- and, remarkably, it passed with flying colors.

But, if you're an adventurer (or are accident-prone), or your work takes you to some far-flung remote destination where any other tablet would struggle or suffer, this beasty tablet will keep you in business.

Dell Latitude 12 Rugged Tablet review

Dell's military-grade tablet wasn't rugged enough to survive IT Pro's Adam Shepherd

Highly durable; Hot-swappable batteries; Good range of optional add-ons

Fingerprint sensor is almost impossible to use; No palm-rejection technology; Uncomfortably heavy and chunky

The Dell Latitude Rugged Tablet 12 is built to withstand the elements, but it's not invincible and you pay a high price for this durability both in terms of cost and usability
