Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet review

The ThinkPad Tablet's pen input, port selection and security features don't quite make up for its poky performance and not-so-responsive display.

Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet

The Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet boasts excellent accessories that can transform the tablet into an on-the-go business machine. But short battery life and some stability issues make it a questionable choice for casual and corporate users alike.

Full-sized USB 2.0 port. Optional 3G. Excellent, though optional, keyboard folio case and accurate stylus pen.

A bit chunky. Frequent app crashes in our tests. Occasionally unresponsive screen. Subpar battery life.

The optional keyboard appears small, but, like most ThinkPad keyboards, it's a pleasure to type on. There is some delay between typing and text appearing on screen, but it is still far better than the on-screen keyboard experience. I initially thought...

Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet review

Apparently, the whole world's gone crazy for tablets (or, at least one of them ). A tablet makes the perfect ultraportable companion for browsing the Web, checking e-mail, and watching movies on the go. But if tablets represent the future of portable...

The Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet (upgradeable to Android 4.0) has several business-oriented features that should bring a smile to the IT crowd, along with digital pen support and a beautiful screen.

The tablet is relatively thick and heavy, with unnecessary navigation buttons and uninspired Android interface optimizations.

If your IT department could design a tablet, the Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet would be it.

Review: Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet

Lenovo, which released its IdeaPad K1 tablet just a month ago, is already back to the table with the oh-so-sexily-named ThinkPad Tablet.

Top-notch performance in all areas. USB charging. Outstanding battery life (over 9 hours at full tilt). Preinstalled IT apps make sense for enterprise buyers, but they aren’t packaged here very thoughtfully

Major problems with wireless networking. Display seems dim if not viewed dead-on. Expensive. Design simply not up to snuff compared to Lenovo’s other products, especially ThinkPad laptops

Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet Review: A Tablet That Means Business

With the ThinkPad Tablet, Lenovo distinguishes itself as the first company with two tablets clearly aimed at two different markets. The company did a solid job with its consumer-focused IdeaPad K1, released in midsummer. The ThinkPad Tablet (starting...

Digitizer allows pen input ; Pleasing display quality

USB port awkward for flash drive use ; Looks bulky, and feels heavy in hand

Ports and software distinguish this business-centric tablet, which holds appeal for non-business users, too.

Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet Review

Today we have the Lenovo ThinkPad tablet on the review board. The ThinkPad has the body of a tablet but the head for business. Running on Android 3.1 Honeycomb, but filled with years of business and consumer laptop thoughts and ideas thanks to Lenovo....

This tablet is pretty decent and should be great for business users and professionals. While the stylus works for full navigation everywhere the user needs from swiping through homescreens and choosing apps and more. Certain applications have no use...

Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet Review

A business tablet that needs a bit more work.

Sturdy design and build quality, handy for note-taking

Laggy touchscreen interface, overdose of widgets and shortcuts, handwriting function doesn’t expand to other parts of the OS

Lastly for the IT-savvy business users, there is a Citrix Receiver app which lets you connect to Citrix servers in your company or try out some o the demo Citrix sessions available in the app. As far as connectivity goes, I was able to connect a Citrix...
