Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 8-inch review

Lenovo's three Yoga Tablet 2 are an amazing deal. They have incomparable battery life and a fantastic design, but their software and specs are only so-so.

Lenovo’s new Yoga Tablet 2 line may feature decent mid-range specs, incomparable battery life, and an intriguing design, but we can’t help but wish it were more high-end. These tablets could easily be great – but instead, they’re average. Had Lenovo...

Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 AnyPen With Windows (8-Inch)

The 8-inch Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 AnyPen is a well-designed Windows tablet that lets you use a plain old pen or pencil as a stylus.

Compact, comfortable-to-hold design. Built-in kickstand. Bright 1,920-by-1,200 In-Plane Switching (IPS) display. AnyPen technology offers stylus support for standard writing implements. Decent processor performance. Long battery life in our tests.

8-inch display is small and difficult to read. Minimal port selection.

Conclusion The Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 AnyPen with Windows offers a very good blend of performance, features, and smart design. The use of AnyPen technology is a fantastic answer to all the expensive, awkward, and easily lost stylus and digital pen...

Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 with Windows review: This nice tablet suffers from a shoddy keyboard

Throw away the embarrassingly bad Bluetooth keyboard that ships with the Windows version and you have a nicely designed, fast, and long-running, if somewhat oddly shaped tablet.

$369 is a darn good price for a 10-inch Windows 8.1 tablet. But, I’d rather see the Yoga Tablet 2 with Windows at $399 with a better keyboard, or $329 without the BC800, which is a shoddy, awkward experience that I re-boxed almost immediately. As a...

Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 with AnyPen review: Stylus-friendly Windows tablet with a tiny screen

The Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 with AnyPen marries an impressive build and innovative tech with unremarkable performance and a tiny screen.

The Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 features AnyPen technology that allows you to use any metal object as a stylus. Its rounded spine makes it easy to hold, and the kickstand is a welcome addition. Battery life is stellar.

The small screen isn't ideal for a desktop-like PC experience, and it lacks a keyboard accessory. There are miniscule port options.

If you can live with the fact that its screen is too small for the full Windows 8 experience, the Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2's comfy build and cutting-edge stylus technology are compelling enough reasons to own it.

Lenovo Yoga Tab 2 with AnyPen

Starting at $299 (£195 and AU$370, converted) the Yoga Tablet 2 features an ergonomic and useful design that's conveniently compact. Like other Lenovo Yoga tablets, the 8-inch Windows model houses a built-in kickstand for propping it up vertically or...

Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 (Android, 8-inch) review

The 8-inch Android version of the Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 has two rare features that help distinguish it from other Android tablets: a built-in kickstand and a powerful pair of speakers.

The Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 has a comfortable, ergonomic design with a useful built-in kickstand. The sharp LED display is paired with booming speakers and a long-lasting battery.

The heavily modified Android overlay lacks an app tray and customization features. Home screens can't accommodate lots of widgets.

Practical, portable and affordable, the Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 is a great option for casual, everyday use.

Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 Android, 8-inch

The apex of the notable design is the chunky rounded spine that, when twisted, reveals that small, sturdy stand. It doesn't sound like a big deal, but if you're using the tablet every day, it is. The 8-inch Lenovo can lie down at an angle for easy...

The Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 with Windows pairs a built-in kickstand with a Bluetooth keyboard

This 10-inch tablet offers a high-resolution display and a flexible kickstand.

The Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 bundles a useful kickstand, an attractive high-resolution display, long battery life and a great keyboard into a package that's light and inexpensive.

Weak magnets make the connection between tablet and keyboard dock a tenuous one.

If you're willing to overlook the flawed keyboard dock, the Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 with Windows offers the full Windows 8 experience in an inexpensive package.

Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 Windows, 10-inch

If the device looks a little familiar, that's because we've already seen an Android-flavored version -- my colleague wasn't impressed with its heavily modified Android overlay and irregular performance. I, fortunately, had a much better experience:...

Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 review

Lenovo tablets are known for innovative designs that thoughtfully take into account the functions of a tablet in everyday use. The Yoga Tablet 2 hits that nail on the head but disappoints almost everywhere else.

The Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 has a useful design with a built-in kickstand and long battery life. The front-facing speakers are loud, and the Dolby app punches up the audio quality.

The heavily modified Android overlay lacks an app tray and customization features. Some text looks pixelated, and the touchscreen sometimes fails to recognize taps. Apps occasionally crash.

The Yoga Tablet 2's unique design can't overshadow its tragically stripped-down UI and irregular performance issues.
