Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga 2 Pro review: a high-end Ultrabook that's actually affordable

The Yoga 2 Pro addresses many of our complaints about the original, and is now one of the best touchscreen Ultrabooks you can buy, especially at this price. We just wish the battery life had improved more.

Gorgeous 3,200 x 1,800 display ; Lighter than the original, well-built ; Highly versatile design ; Reasonably priced

Relatively short battery life ; Keyboard still exposed in tablet mode ; Some undersized keyboard buttons

The Yoga 2 Pro addresses many of our complaints about the original: The display is sharper and the overall package has been slimmed down so that it's noticeably thinner and lighter. At the same time, the Yoga 2 Pro is still the most versatile Windows...

Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro review

With a stunning Retina-besting display, and a slimmer exterior, Lenovo's Yoga 2 Pro is better in every way than last year's model, save for battery life.

After staring lovingly at the Yoga 2 Pro’s screen for a bit longer than we’d care to admit, and appreciating its other improvements, like its lighter weight, slightly slimmer shell, and backlit keyboard, a part of us wants to heap praise on Lenovo for...

The Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 Pro is a big tablet with a tiny projector ...

Lenovo's Yoga Tablet 2 Pro brings back its funky ergonomic design and throws a projector on it for good measure...

The Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 Pro's versatile design features a built-in kickstand and pico projector. Its HD screen is sharp and battery life is long. Its The front-facing speakers and rear subwoofer sound loud and crisp.

There's no app tray. The projector's brightness is rather dim in most rooms and its low resolution will disappoint fans of high-definition video. Also, it's a bit heavy.

The Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 Pro's design is great for at-home use and the built-in projector is handy for watching video or making presentations, but the UI is too stripped down.

Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 Pro Android, 13-inch

Performance-wise, it's not a monster, but feature-wise, it's a unicorn. Like last year's Android-based Yoga tablets, this model has a distinct rounded spine with a built-in kickstand that makes hands-free movie watching and on-screen typing easy peasy....

Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 Pro

The projector-packing Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 Pro excels as a self-contained home theater, but questionable Android software tweaks and performance issues hamper the experience.

13-inch, Quad HD LCD. Useful kickstand design. Built-in projector.

Heavy-handed Android skin. Performance hiccups.

Camera and Conclusions I can't stress how silly it looks and feels to try and use the Yoga Tablet 2 Pro as a camera, but the 8-megapixel rear-facing camera is there nonetheless. It's actually not bad in the grand scheme of tablet cameras, producing...

This tablet has so much going for it: a sleek design, a projector built into the hinge, and a pretty good battery life. But Lenovo's Android customizations are awful.

Gorgeouc 13.3-inch IPS display ; Rear projector is actually pretty neat and can be used in a variety of scenarios

You'll have to adjust to carrying around a laptop-sized tablet ; Lenovo's Android's interface is laggy and unintuitive

A fantastic, productivity-focused tablet that's marred by Lenovo's subpar Android interface.

Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 Windows, 13-inch

I was willing to give the 10-inch model a pass, because of its compact size and low price. That doesn't hold true for the larger 13-inch model. The problem is that the magnets connecting the keyboard to the tablet are too weak to keep them attached....

The Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 offers a useful kickstand, great battery life and attractive high-resolution display.

Weak magnets and an awkward edge design make the connection between tablet and keyboard dock a tenuous one. The tablet is heavier than most of its competitors.

The Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2's 13-inch high-resolution screen delivers a great viewing experience, but its cumbersome keyboard keeps it from greatness.

Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 review: A good tablet, undone by a cumbersome keyboard

This Windows-based tablet sports the same quirky hinged design as its smaller siblings, but the larger size makes things complicated.

More resolution for less money with the Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga 2 Pro

This updated hybrid laptop-tablet adds a 3,200x1,800-pixel screen for an impressive $999.

The ; is an excellent ultrabook, even without digging into its hybrid capabilities. This new model adds a backlit keyboard and an impressive 3,200x1,800-pixel-resolution display, while keeping the price under $1,000.

In battery life it lags behind a couple of more expensive higher-res laptops, some of the hybrid modes are of dubious use, and Lenovo still doesn't know what to do with the keyboard in tablet mode.

A major update to our favorite Windows 8 hybrid, the IdeaPad Yoga 2 Pro is still a better laptop than tablet, but the new version adds a future-proof better-than-HD display at a great price.

Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro review

It's Sunday, it's January, and it's freezing outside. In other words, it's the perfect day to spend the morning lying in bed, finally catching up on the Friday Night Lights and Battlestar Galactica...

Thin and light ; Flexible hinge is really useful ; Gorgeous display

Only average battery life ; Hinge tends to wobble ; Jumpy trackpad

Lenovo succeeds mostly by doing less
