Wacom Cintiq 13HD review: a space-saving pen display for designers

Wacom's smallest Cintiq is a capable add-on, but the lack of wireless connectivity and multitouch gestures leaves us wanting more.

Comfortable form factor ; Stellar pen input and ExpressKeys ; Good display quality

No wireless option ; Lack of touch gestures ; Stand has restrictive angles

While the tablet form factor has a number of upsides for those looking to dive into the pen-enabled display pool, the Cintiq 13HD leaves us wanting more. Generally speaking, the performance is right up there with what we'd expect from a Wacom display...

Wacom multitouches up its littlest Cintiq, the 13HD interactive pen display

Multitouch support and a lower price highlight the updates to Wacom's 13-inch combination display/graphics tablet.

Tablet Review: Wacom Cintiq 13HD

The tablet-maker's latest release packs a high-resolution screen inside a smaller, lighter display that's lighter on your wallet, too.

Extremely lightweight; never gets hot to the touch; beautiful full HD display; responsive and comfortable interactive pen; much more portable than previous models in this class

Not truly portable yet; HDMI connection means you may need additional accessories (especially if you’re a Mac user); price is still a bit high for most photographers looking to break into the interactive display game; Wacom may be introducing a truly...

For professional photographers looking to bring an extra level of precision and flair to their detailed post-production work, the Wacom Cintiq 13HD is a much more affordable option in the company’s long-entrusted line of interactive pen displays. It’s...

Wacom Cintiq 13HD

Hands-on: A top-quality graphics tablet with 2,048 levels of pressure sensitivity.

. The price and level of programming it needs to shine will rule it out as the perfect choice for more casual users and less dedicated enthusiasts. However, it’s a solid upgrade of the Cintiq 12WX, and one that was sorely needed.

Wacom Cintiq 13HD review

A Cintiq that you can fit on your desk! But is the price tag hard to swallow?

New slimline design ; Accurate stylus

High price tag ; Requires adaptor to work

Strong on its main function, but lacking when it comes to the details, the Wacom Cintiq 13HD is a slightly frustrating product that could have much better (and for the price, it really should be). A great screen and excellent sensitivity – if only it...

Wacom multitouches up its littlest Cintiq, the 13HD interactive pen display

Review: Wacom Cintiq 13HD Creative Pen & Touch Display

In this Cintiq 13HD review, we put Wacom's smallest pro tablet through its paces.

Good value for pro hardware ; Light but sturdy ; Quality screen ; Excellent stylus

It's not exactly plug-and-play ; HDMI adapters not included ; Some may prefer larger screen real estate ; Cable is thick and unwieldy

The Cintiq 13HD Touch is a serious piece of kit despite its small size, giving designers an ideal balance between cost and quality – and Wacom's superbly responsive and accurate stylus is the icing on the cake.

Wacom Cintiq 13HD review

Rob Redman takes the latest offering in Wacom's Cintiq range, a small but high-resolution interactive display, for a test drive

Light, slim and portable

mallish screen

Other than that, and the cable – which is a pretty small niggle – it’s a joy to use for both 3D sculpting and 2D work. Navigating around your OS isn’t too bad either, as the small working area means less flying around with the pen.

Wacom Cintiq 13HD review: Great drawing experience and brilliant screen

Illustrator Lizzie Mary Cullen spends time with the hottest little creative tool of 2013 (so far anyway).

Great drawing experience. Many ways to hold it and stand it on your desk. Brilliant screen. Very easy to take with you

Screen is a little bit too small for long-term use. A Wacom-tablet that may be better may be around the corner. You need to remember to buy an adapter

To sum up, great piece of kit at a much better price than the 24HD and takes up way less space. If anything, the screen is just a tad too small. We found our eyes straining after an hour.
