In truth there aren’t as many interesting features within these menus as it initially looks like there’s going to be. For instance, the ‘Advanced Video’ submenu actually only contains noise reduction and light sensor options, not the colour and gamma...

The AD32UMMB isn’t a jack-of-all-trades. That said, it looks the part, has a good Freeview tuner and the bonus of recording to USB. It’s a solid performer.

Good picture in varying light, good sound quality, very sleek and stylish with basic features that won't be old hat in a year's time.

Turning the sound up and down - there's virtually no difference in sound level with it being on 50 (the set's average) and 35, and the speed at which it takes to decrease/increase the volume is somewhat reminiscent of an arthritic pensioner negotiating...
