Humax LP32-TDR1 32in LCD TV & PVR

Humax has packed a lot of functionality into this 32in TV and kept the price affordable.

Inevitably there are limitations to what this HDD system can do; you can’t, say, record HD material from external AV sources like a Sky HD receiver or Blu-ray player. But it will record absolutely anything you like from the built-in Freeview tuner.

Humax LP32-TDR1 review

Humax rewrites the LCD value rule book

Elegant design ; Easy to use ; Good quality recordings

Slightly forced blacks ; Backlight seepage in dark scenes

If you're in the market for a clutter-busting TV/PVR combi, the LP32 is good value at £800

Don't expect the earth at this money you shouldn't and you won't be disappointed

Built-in PVR and digital tuner; smart looks; decent performance; good price

Picture lacks the class of some rivals; max length recordings lack some composure

Humax LP32-TDR1 LCD television

Humax has produced some of the more successful PVRs over the last year so it's no real surprise to see the name behind the feature-rich LP32-TDR1. This 32" LCD is most notable for the inclusion of a built in PVR sporting a generous 160GB hard drive and...

Impressive performance from the digital tuner, PVR integrates well, decent range of features

High definition and audio performance could be better, no twin-tuner capabilities for synchronised recording / time-shifting

Humax has taken an innovative approach to its 32-inch LCD with the addition of a built-in PVR, but we're a little disappointed it doesn't live up to the high standards set by its standalone range.

Humax LP32-TDR1 review

Humax's clutter-busting LCD comes with a built-in Freeview PVR, bargain price and some sharp styling. But can its picture match the CV?

HUMAX LP32TDR1

Great all round.

The only thing that lets it down is the EPG program, theprogram list. It does not show a complete program list available, only theprogramsfor the chanel currently selected.

HUMAX LP32TDR1

Excellent picture and great sound quality, packed full of features - as good as others I looked at which were twice the price. Has a large Hard Drive for plenty of hours of recording too.

None I've encountered as yet.
