LG Infinia LV5500 review: LG Infinia LV5500

LG Infinia LV5500

The relatively inexpensive ; evinced accurate colors and solid video processing. Its Smart TV Internet portal is well-designed with a solid selection of streaming services, and LG includes a Wi-Fi dongle. The secondary motion-sensitive remote provides...

The LG LV5500 series isn't able to dig as deep into the blacks as some competitors and evinced some blooming and loss of shadow detail. Screen uniformity and off-angle viewing were below par. Its external styling is underwhelming. The LW5500's Smart TV...

The LG 47LV5500 is a decent performer at its price level and features a great Smart TV package, but paying a little more for a different model would reap big rewards.

A 42-inch LED HDTV with a 1,920 by 1,080 resolution, the LG 42LV5500 boasts a contrast ratio in the millions, a 120Hz refresh rate, the LG Magic Motion remote.

LG 42LV5500

The LG 42LV5500 ($1099 MSRP) is packed with a lot of fun features that may sound good, but can distract from what a TV is supposed to do: deliver a good picture. Fortunately, the color performance cannot be beat. The poor implementation of local...

Phenomenal color accuracy ; Solid motion performance ; Lots of ports for old and new devices

Local dimming was disappointing

The LG 42LV5500 ($1099 MSRP) is a strong television in many regards, but we definitely prodded to find some weak points. First the good news. Color performance doesn’t get much better than this. It will deliver exactly the colors that the movie and TV...

LG 42LV5500 Review – 42-inch LED LCD HDTV

The model was announced by LG with a set of advanced options to make the TV set usable for additional purposes. With much better connectivity options, the 42-inch LED TV offers some of the functionality offered by a computer. It also comes with Skype...

Consumer review (newegg.com)

Don't buy an LG!!!!

I have 4 children that could not watch TV all weekend and it looks like it's going to be much longer before they can. Thanks LG! Never again.

Great picture...when it works

We've had this TV for about 6 months and have had nothing but problems. I've had to call customer assistance more than 30 times already. Most of the time I get someone on the other end that has no idea how to fix anything and really could care less....

Great Value

Best bang for the buck by far. I was debating between this and a Samsung and opted for this (I wanted a 42" and Samsung only had 40" or 46"). Very impressed with the picture quality

Sound is extremely average (recommend using external speakers)
