Panasonic S60 plasma TV review

It's difficult to overstate how good a deal the Panasonic S60 series represents. In a dark room its inky-deep black levels, accurate color, and perfect uniformity can make it look almost as good as flagship models that cost twice or three times as...

The budget-priced Panasonic TC-PS60 has excellent picture quality with exceedingly deep black levels, great shadow detail, accurate colors, and superb off-angle and uniformity characteristics; basic, easy-to-use streaming services include Netflix,...

Picture quality in bright rooms isn't as good as many other TVs; only two HDMI inputs; limited streaming content; consumes more power than LCD TVs.

The Panasonic TC-PS60 plasma TV's low price, high-end picture quality, and bare-bones Smarts make it one of the best values we've ever seen.

Panasonic S60 TV

The Panasonic S60 is a good basic plasma. Its blacks are really impressive for the price. However, it reflects a lot of light and it doesn't get very bright, so it is definitely not suitable for a room with windows.

Very good contrast. The blacks are really good. ; Very low input lag.

A lot of reflections. This TV isn't meant to be used in a rooms with windows. ; Average motion handling for a plasma.

Not so smart

I'm having to sell it and buy a better model, hoping that works.

Great picture, thin bezel

you can't turn speakers off, so no external speakers with separate control. On mine, it keeps crashing or losing wifi signal. I can't make it through a 1-hour show without it dropping wifi. I often have to restart TV to regain wifi connection.

Panasonic TC-P60S60 Plasma HDTV

I did a lot of reading [CNET reviews, magazines etc], visited retail stores, talked to friends before deciding I wanted Plasma and without all the latest bells and whistles like 3D and I already have wifi internet. More than one friend said they could...

+ Plasma HD is fantastic! Picture, colors, ease of use + Built in DLNA with built in wireless is very satisfying + Input lag is low due to the plasma technology. Gaming is responsive. + Very easy to set up + Reasonable price

- Cons: Only 2 HDMIs - Some reflection if you have a lamp on behind you or it's bright in the room - Sound quality is not great so I would definitely recommend investing in other speakers

"Extremely good picture quality and performance"

After exhaustive research and subsequent comparison shopping, I decided on this TV in its 65" form factor. I am extremely pleased with the purchase (and subsequent Amazon delivery), and can recommend it heartily, especially considering its price point....

+ Picture quality is awesome, great black levels, contrast and color

- Only two HDMI

Good color Setups a hassle. Good deal.

Do NOT use the store settings as they are supersaturated. The TV is a good buy but is a chore to setup for proper color. During initial setup you pick store or home do not use store setup as it is way off. After the initial setup picture is too dark....

Cost. Not too many smart features which I consider a plus

Glass is very reflective. No coax audio analog out (For wireless headphones) requiring a toslink to analog stereo adapter. Setting up good color takes a bit of work.

Panasonic Plasma, need I say more?

Panasonic as far as I am concerned is the best producer of television sets in the world right now. Nothing compares to the picture clarity and quality of a Panasonic Plasma TV and this model is no different. I replaced a 42" Plasma from 5 or 6 years...

Picture quality is awesome, great black levels, contrast and color Setup is really easy Much lower power consumption

Only two HDMI No RCA audio out for older

Best Budget TV on the market!

I was in the market for a non-3d 50" TV, as I feel 3D is a passing fad and having to spend extra for that feature is something I'll take a pass on. I came across Panasonic's entry level SmartTV and WHOA! I was blown away. The picture produced from this...

Very much in the budget for lower end TV buyers, Phenomenal picture with great color and very deep black levels, and a nice inclusion of some internet apps including Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon instant, easy to use set up and menus.

Only 2 HDMI, clunky keyboard within app menus, Glare issue in bright room is distracting.

Easily worth double its cost

This TV is by far the best value TV you can get in 2013! with nothing to complain about I'de say its hard to beat it. In terms of value, I'de say its easily a $1,800 55" TV!

Easy to adjust settings, nice design, good audio, touchscreen (with pen), and very good picture quality!

not extremely smooth with menu and app but hardly a con, its more than pleasing to control.
