Panasonic TC-P50ST30

While it has its share of flaws, the 50-inch Panasonic TC-P50ST30 3D-ready plasma HDTV is a good choice if you want a big screen at a reasonable price, aren't hung up on low power consumption, and can live with limited HDMI ports.

Good colors and black levels. Solid selection of Web apps.

Only three HDMI inputs. Power-hungry when compared with LCD HDTVs. Active shutter 3D glasses are expensive and not included.

Panasonic Viera TC-P50S30 Plasma HDTV

This 1080p flat panel is not 3D capable, but like most of Panasonic Viera plasmas, it does use fast-switching phosphors and 600Hz subfield drive for sharp motion detail. (Don't compare a plasma's 600Hz subfield drive with an LCD's 120 or 240Hz refresh...

Panasonic TC-P50ST30 3D Plasma HDTV

As Panasonic's entry-level 3D plasma, the ST30 is not THX-certified like the mid-level GT30 and flagship VT30. It has five Picture modes: Vivid, Standard, Cinema, Game, and Custom. Apart from the Custom mode, the settings for each mode are global and...

Panasonic TC-P50S30

A scientific, in-depth analysis with side-by-side comparisons

In the end, the Panasonic Viera TC-P50S30 isn’t a bad TV set, but it isn’t exactly a great one either. While it provides great picture quality and motion performance, its lack of a high brightness and its vulnerability to screen burn-in make for a TV...

Panasonic TC-P50ST30 3D HDTVReview

The Panasonics TC-P50ST30 series 3D HDTV offers a lot of bang for the buck, but is it enough to entice fence sitters to take the 3D plunge?

Our Blu-ray 3D collection has now grown to 17 titles, so I had more than enough content to throw at the panel and while I'm still not sold on the widespread viability of 3D HDTV, I have to confess that Avatar, Tangled, and Despicable Me were gorgeous...

Panasonic TC-P50S30 3D Plasma Review

The S30 is the replacement for 2010's very popular and top selling S2 series of plasma televisions. It offers a good picture an feature set at an affordable price and is available in a variety of sizes. We review the TC-P50S30 after the jump.

After this tidying up is done we can enjoy the best of what the S30 has to offer. Colors really pop off the screen though they do not go far enough to be called over-saturated. With our picture settings, this TV has enough light flow through to be...
