Panasonic TX-P50G20 / TX-P50G20B review

The first set from Panasonic's new plasma range sets out to convince that it can compete with the latest LCD stars

Stunning pictures ; Value for money ; Built-in Freesat/Freeview HD tuners ; Excellent feature set

USB HDD recording comes with many strings attached ; Staid design

A superb plasma TV that shows us that LCD is still the inferior technology when it comes to colours and blacks

Only down side I have experienced so far is the Sky HD works off the HDMI ports. Unable to turn the tv straight onto these and have to mess about with the remote etc

When I watched a Blu-Ray for the first time, it felt like I was in a theatre watching a play. It was the second Harry Potter , incidentally. Awesome picture quality.

Sound not so good, but only in comparison to the outstanding picture. Anyway, no self respecting movie fan should ever want to watch without a good sound system.

Great Picture, previously had a 42" Panasonic mid range and was happy, now very happy with this new tv,great to have option of freeview HD or freesat HD,brilliant for films almost like having your own private mini cinema with out all the chit chat...

Style of tv could be better.

easy set up...great picture....remote easy to use...4 hdmi`s...2 usb`s and wi-fi....isf and thx certified.

poor sound....connections on back not recessed into unit....and 3 hdmi`s are sitting on top of each other( one above the other) which means only one L/adapter can be used...would have been better side by side...also do not like the white line running...

SD picture and HD picture, easy enough to switch between freesat and freeview, easy to set up. I like the understated surround of the tv although this may not be to eveyones taste.

Don't know why there are adverts on the EPG, and the EPG could be a bit more user friendly but as i've had a Panasonic before it's ok.
