Panasonic TC-P55VT60

The Panasonic VT60 series of plasma HDTVs deliver a stunning picture with bold colors and inky blacks. Features are abundant, but these screens don't come cheap.

Very dark blacks. Rich, accurate colors. Generous feature set.

Expensive. Only three HDMI ports. Screen could be brighter.

Conclusion Dark blacks and vibrant colors are the hallmark of any great plasma HDTV, and the pricey Panasonic TC-P60VT60 delivers on both counts. It doesn't get as bright as our current Editors' Choice for high-end plasma sets, the Samsung PN60F8500,...

Panasonic plasma finally challenges Kuro

The ; produces the second-best picture quality of any TV we've ever reviewed, equal to or better than our in-house Pioneer Kuro reference and surpassed only by the ZT60; exceedingly deep black levels and excellent shadow detail; well-saturated colors...

Extremely expensive; worse bright-room picture than that of the Samsung F8500; somewhat humdrum design; camera is limited, and facial recognition is a gimmick.

The Panasonic VT60 has one of the best pictures of any TV we've ever reviewed, and matches the best-ever in dark rooms.

The VT60 is an excellent plasma with the best dark-room image quality you'll see this year not powered by light-emitting diodes . It is a shade better than the Kuro we've been using as a reference these long years, it beats the Samsung F8500 in...

"Spectacular TV."

I was VERY disappionted when my little guy decided to launch his matchbox car through my 50 inch Kuro. Alas, all good things must come to an end. Fortunately, I noticed that this(and the ZT) were the first TV's to match or beat the reference Kuro in...

Blu Ray is stunning.

Sound quality is not the best.

"Great TV, Excellent Picture Quality!"

Let me start off by explaining what type of customer I am. I watch tv, but I don't own any fancy home entertainment center, I don't change my hdmi cored every time a better one comes out and I don't have an insanely expensive top of the line DVD...

TV is very thin, very sleak and the bezel isn't to big

I wish the picture didn't have to be calibrated at all
