Philips 19PFL3405

The LED craze is in full swing so it's no surprise that the energy saving and super-slim tech has made its way down to the 19-inch size. Philips has been one of the most dedicated exponents of LED technology in the last few years, experimenting with...

Slim design, interface, sound quality

Motion blur, soft image

Nicely designed and well presented it may be, but this 19-inch LED-backlit LCD TV doesn’t cut the mustard when it comes to picture quality with blurring and a lack of detail a consistent problem.

Philips 19PFL3405 review

LED panel and good-looks aside, this basic 19-inch LCD TV struggles with movies

Contrast ; Simple interface ; Freeview pictures ; Low price

Black & white graphics ; Flimsy build quality ; Motion blur

Poor picture

The picture was very blocky on free view what i would have expected from a very poor quality tv not this one. The picture on analogue sky feed was ridiculous. Returned and swapped for Samsung UE22D5003 which is much better.

Good value for money

This TV sits on a bracket above my kitchen units. It is just the right size, it was easy to install and works perfectly. The hand controller is a little 'up side down' with the channel numbers at the bottom but otherwise good.

Better than the last one

After returning a 19" LCD TV due to the terrible sound it produced I hoped a larger 22" from a different manufacturer would be better. Picture quality is very good, sound perfectly adequate and ideal for its position as a wall mounted TV in our...

A Good Buy

We are very pleased with this TV. Easy to get up and running. The red strip is not as obviouse as in the picture, not a problem for us but something to bear in mind if you want that 'look'.
