Philips 47PFL9664 47in LCD TV

The Philips 47PFL9664 47in LCD TV is expensive, but its excellent design, feature count and AV performance are worth it.

The 47PFL9664 looks expensive on paper, there’s no denying that. But by the time you've taken its slim design, unparalleled feature count and stunning AV performance into account, it actually starts to look like something of a bargain.

Philips 47PFL9664H review

Philip's new high-end 47' LCD screen is packed with features

Excellent picture and sound quality ; Network features ; Stylish and slim

Lofty price tag ; Sluggish NetTV ; No side connections

This LCD TV offers quality pictures and good sound with some handy features for accessing the internet and media on home PCs

Philips 37PFL9604 review

Once again Philips has produced a thoroughly premium set; the only snag is that thoroughly premium price to match

Full HD spec with Ambilight and integrated wireless ; premium build and finish ; class-leading picture and sound

You have to pay for that performance

Philips certainly delivers enough to justify the price. Money no object? This is the 37in set you should select

Philips 42PFL9664H LCD TV review

Excellent web-ready 42" set with Perfect Pixel pyrotechnics

Excellent picture quality ; Well specified ; Great sound

Pricey ; The odd Freeview wobble

Philips 47PFL9664 review

This is a first-rate TV from Philips, but it struggles to justify the extra cost over another Philips model, the £1200 47PFL7404

Excellent picture ; one of the best flatscreen audio performances available ; luxurious build and styling

Exceptional competition, not least from within Philips itself

This a premium product, for sure, but the cheaper Philips 47PFL7404 offers a performance that's too close for comfort

Philips 37PFL9604 review

Comfortably the most expensive TV featured, but also far and away the best

Stunning pictures ; Motion handling ; Unusually good audio ; Gorgeous design ; SD performance

A bit labour intensive but we're just being picky

Sorry folks, but if you want the very best, you just have to pay for it

Philips 42PFL9664 review

Utterly brilliant. £1500 might sound a tad pricey but this is one of the most exciting sets we've seen in years

Astonishing detail and sharpness creates brilliant images ; spot-on colour balance ; largely excellent motion handling ; robust sound

Not the easiest set to calibrate ; some offer slightly greater black depth

£1500 might sound like a lot of money, but just one look at the Philips in action proves it’s worth every penny

Philips 32PFL9604 review

There's no doubt that the '9604 is a hugely impressive set, but for £999 it can't quite pick up the full five-stars

Huge aesthetic appeal ; sophisticated menus ; feature-packed ; fantastic with Freeview and Blu-ray images

Price, price, did we mention the price?

The '9604 is one of the best 32in sets we've seen this year, but it doesn't push performance to a level that can justify its price

Philips 32PFL9604 review

Philips' 32PFL9604 is a superb full HD LCD with Ambilight and web widgets

Great colours and contrast ; Smooth motion ; Powerful speakers

Some picture artefacts ; Expensive ; Slow web browsing

Its many features are topped off with exquisite HD pictures and powerful speakers
