Samsung PN50B650 50-inch LCD

The Samsung PN50B650 isn't just a capable HDTV; its ethernet connection turns it into a multimedia machine, with access to online video, news and weather reports, and the photos and music stored on your PC. And with an estimated street price of $1200...

Great Internet and networking tools ; Wide viewing angle ; Low price ; Terrific remote control

Doesn't handle motion well ; Power hog when on

The Samsung PN50B650 is a great choice if you want to combine the variety of Internet video with the comfort of watching TV.

Samsung PNB650 review: Samsung PNB650

Samsung PNB650

Reproduces deep black levels; accurate color with superb saturation, properly handles 1080p/24 sources; uses less power than previous 1080p plasmas; extensive feature set with Yahoo widgets, network streaming and built-in content; solid connectivity...

Somewhat expensive; glitch in 1080p/24 mode causes picture setting change; frame's red coloration not for everyone; no S-Video inputs.

Samsung's PNB650 series can't quite match the best plasmas on the market, but it comes close enough to offer a viable alternative.

Review: Samsung PN50B650 HDTV

Samsung's PN50B650 isn't just a capable HDTV; its ethernet connection turns it into a multimedia machine.

Great Internet and networking tools ; Wide viewing angle ; Terrific remote control

Power hog when on ; Doesn't handle motion well

The PN50B650 performed well in our lab's image-quality tests. Aside from its results on a Wheel of Fortune clip, which I found a bit oversaturated, the set generally scored well for brightness, contrast, and color, with pleasing and natural-looking...

Samsung PN50B650

Samsung PN50B650 is a 50″ with full 1080p resolution at a midrange price. As with most plasmas the PN50B650 produces deep and detail rich black levels with an overall great color reproduction. The colors are well saturated without being overblown …

Samsung PS50B650 50in plasma TV

The Samsung PS50B650 is an undeniably stylish 50in plasma, but can its pictures live up to its design?

Samsung PS50B650 review

This smart big-screen Samsung seems to do pretty much everything right when it comes to delivering the goods - put it on your audition list

Excellent detail, sharpness and colour reproduction ; good motion ; controlled standard-def pictures, but not at the expense of definition

Doesn’t manage the very blackest blacks ; evidence of temporary image retention

Often the best TV is the one that makes fewest sacrifices to achieve all-round ability – the Samsung is that set

Headline-grabbing multimedia tech aside, this Samsung TV looks set to serve up a stunning picture. Can it deliver?

Samsung PS50B650

However, the PS50B650 has some price-justifying tricks up its sleeve. First, it's full HD whereas the Panasonic is only HD Ready. Second, it claims a bonkers contrast ratio of 3,000,000:1 versus the Panny's 2,000,000:1. Third, it's got four HDMIs...

Good contrast, nice design, wide viewing angle, excellent multimedia support, very sharp HD pictures

Not the best standard def images, some colour tone concerns, slight motion judder and blur

Samsung PS50B650 Full HD 1920x1080p Plasma HDTV from Samsung.

A couple of months ago, I reviewed Samsung's PS50B560 Plasma display and was mostly impressed with what I saw. This Plasma TV incorporated a 1920x1080p panel, excellent video processing for dealing with our standard definition back catalogues, a full...

Full host of picture calibration controls, Calibrated Greyscale accuracy is excellent, Calibrated Colour accuracy fulfills requirements for AVForums "Reference" status, Standard-def video processing is excellent, Picture detail is the best out of any...

Panel image retention can be irritating, White objects in 50hz video sources (UK TV, DVDs) can suffer from motion corruption, which some people may notice, Black level is not as deep as the current NeoPDP Plasmas from Panasonic
