Sharp LC-68LE920UN LCD HDTV First Impressions Review - Intro

The LC-68LE920UN is the flagship of Sharp's new LE920 series, which offers edge-lit LED backlights, Internet streaming and 240Hz motion processing. That's a common set of features, but this mode does have two unusual, new features: it's one of the few...

The LC-68LE920UN is an unusual display: 68 inches is an unusual size, and it's the only one to use four primary color filters. While it looked like the fourth color improved color performance, we'll reserve judgment until we can get a review unit into...

Sharp AQUOS Quattron LC-60LE925UN Review

Quote from review: "2010 was supposed to be the year 3D HDTV took off, but pathetic software and programming line-ups threw a huge roadblock in the way of the TV industry's plans. High prices in a recession didn't help much either. The dearth of great...

Sharp LC-60LE925 review

If you're after big-screen 3D thrills, then this Sharp 60 inch is most certainly for you. There's a lot to admire in this relatively affordable set

Vibrant but natural colours ; decent detail and contrast ; good scaler ; reasonable sound

Reflective panel ; no Freeview HD ; backlight isn’t even ; iffy EPG ; imperfect motion

Improved rivals see the Sharp go down to three stars – but it’s still a fine 3D TV

Sharp LC-60LE925E review

Sharp's Quattron technology greatly impressed me when it made its debut back in May. The only problem was that it appeared at the time when most other brands were busy launching headline-grabbing 3D sets, so that the brand's additional yellow sub-pixel...

Quattron tech produces outstanding colours; good contrast; classy, curved design

3D images blighted by crosstalk noise; SD broadcasts look a bit rough

Sharp LC-60LE925E review

It's Sharp's first 3D TV, it's Quattron-powered, and it's a stunner

Massive, exceptionally bright and wonderfully colourful 3D and HD pictures ; Nicely designed ; Plenty of connections and features ; Outstanding onscreen menu system

Crosstalk noise with 3D ; Video noise with standard-def broadcasts

While everyone else was getting busy with their debut 3D TVs, Sharp was ploughing a lonely – though far from futile – furrow with its first Quattron TVs.
