Sony KDL-46HX800 3D LED LCD HDTV Review - Intro

The Sony KDL-46HX800 ($2699 MSRP) is a 3D-ready TV. What does 3D ready mean, you ask. In short, it means you have to buy more accessories. Not just the glasses, which run $150 a pop. You also have a buy a "3D Sync Transmitter" for $50, which sits on...

The Sony KDL-46HX800 ($2699 MSRP) is a very good 2D TV that insists on milking every last dollar from your pocket to make it a 3D TV. It's incredibly frustrating. Prior to June 2010, Sony already had approximately 26 new televisions on the market, many...

Review: Sony Bravia KDL-46HX800 46-Inch LCD TV

Sony's HX800 series TVs are expensive, but the picture quality and surround sound are good enough that the prices aren't outrageous.

The Sony Bravia HX800 series is a family of 3D-enabled, 1080p LED HDTVs with a 240Hz refresh rate and a slew of Web apps

Sony KDL-46HX800

The Sony KDL-46HX800 ($2699) is a 46-inch LED-backlit LCD television, and among the first Sony TVs to offer 3D display. Don't get too excited yet, though. The HX800 series is merely 3D-ready, which means several more purchases until you're actually...

for another $50. It's hard to fault Sony for wanting to squeeze customers for glasses - all the manufacturers are doing that. But charging for the 3D sync transmitter just feels like a shakedown, as Samsung, Panasonic, and LG have the transmitter built...

Sony KDL46HX800 3D TV Review

The Sony KDL-46HX800 is a 46 inch, 1080p, edge lit LED 3D ready TV that is part of Sony's Bravia HX800 series of 3D televisions. This is the middle sized HX800 of the 3 3D TVs that Sony has released in 2010. The HX800 is the consumer range 3D TV...

This Sony BRAVIA KDL46HX800 is a very capable edge lit LED TV that performs very well on both the 2D and 3D fronts and provides excellent value for money. Many consumers have praised this TV for its breathtaking color and black levels. While some TVs...

Great black levels, good default sharpness levels, good detail, excellent BRAVIA Internet Video service

Expensive, 3D receiver and glasses must be purchased separately

Sony's BRAVIA KDL-46HX800 is impressive. It has better black levels than last year's plasma TVs, and even its default settings deliver a great level of detail without being excessively sharp. It is expensive though, and if you want to view 3D content...

Sony BRAVIA KDL-46HX800 3D LED television

To be honest, we weren't expecting the Sony BRAVIA KDL-46HX800 to be as good as it was. After seeing the Panasonic Viera TH-P50VT20A 3D plasma recently, we hadn't expected an edge-lit LED TV to outperform it in black level detail — but the BRAVIA...

Best TV We Ever Had

Researched HD TVs for over a year. This one stood out.. Its 3D capability and wireless internet connectivity make it a winner. My son-in-law saw it and immediately regretted having bought a the latest Panasonic plasma. He couldn't believe the picture.

Great Picture, Plenty of Input/Outputs ;

Internal Sound is low quality (need theater system to appreciate) ;
