Sony Bravia KDL-50EX645

Despite plenty of features for a fair price, Sony's Bravia EX645 series of LED-backlit HDTVs suffer from mediocre black levels and color accuracy issues.

Integrated Wi-Fi. Plenty of streaming apps and online features, including a Web browser.

Disappointing black levels. Slightly skewed colors. Few calibration options.

Sony KDL-50EX645

When choosing an HDTV, picture quality is the most important factor, and an excess of features can't make up for a screen that's not up to snuff. Sony's EX645 series of LED-lit LCD HDTVs offer up integrated Wi-Fi and plenty of online functions, but the...

Sony's midrange LED TV a value pick

The relatively affordable ; offers deep-enough black levels for the money and commendable color saturation. The design is attractive and the menu system is easy to use.

We detected a couple of uniformity issues, black areas can look blue under lights, and shadow detail isn't up there with the better TVs. The SEN portion of the Smart TV interface is so slow that it's kind of a waste.

Sony has upgraded its EX645 series TV with onboard wireless providing even better value given its predecessor's already solid picture quality.

Sony KDL-46EX645

Sony's upgraded KDL-46EX645 is an affordable 46-inch LED HDTV that provides good picture quality, an attractive design and an easy-to-use menu system. It also has on-board wireless connectivity, but the display does have some uniformity issues.<p

"DEFECTIVE **DON'T BUY**"

Just not worth it. The TV picture is good, however, it will STOP WORKING after around 1.5 years or so. There is a known TCON board defect on this tv. The TCON board is what helps to display the picture and that will fail just after the 1yr warranty. If...

Good picture (for the time it worked)

DEFECTIVE. TV will not last you more than 2 years or so.

"Super solid above average picture quality and features"

We scored this for 1000 in an awesome in store special at a "burger side dish" B&M in early 2013... was 1500 everywhere else... two years later still has 3 most popular current subscription services (Netflix, Hulu Plus and Amazon Ptime) easily...

Very smooth native panel, good black levels, decent out of the box settings for non-techy. Still modern Smart apps

To behonest: shadow detail could be a little better, still a 9/10 easy.

"Great LED TV for the price."

I bought this TV a year ago as a floor sample model from the Sony store. All I can say is this is a great TV for the price. Some other person talked about how the Smart TV functions did not working for them but for this model, Sony doesn't market this...

Sony reliability, great price, and good picture

The TV sometimes overuses reds in dark areas

"DO NOT BUY THIS TV! A WASTE OF MONEY."

None but because there is a 10 character minimum, the picture was nice while it lasted (not long) Picture dies after just a few months of ownership and Sony or the retailer will do nothing about it. I have the 60 inch model of this tv and 3 months...
