Vizio's P-series of HDTVs puts 4K video and connected features within closer reach of the average consumer budget, but it suffers some issues with light bloom.

Crisp 4K picture with native footage or upconverted footage from newer films. Can access Netflix and Amazon 4K content. Strong contrast ratio.

LED light bloom appears in very dark scenes.

Vizio P series: Better and cheaper 4K TV

 

The highly anticipated Vizio P series is among the cheapest 4K TVs available and delivers a very good picture now that a software removes some aggressive video processing.

The Vizio P series delivers 4K resolution for significantly less than other major TV brands. Its picture quality, thanks to full-array local dimming, delivers deep black levels (aside from the 55-inch size) and excellent contrast for an LCD TV. Color...

Overly aggressive video processing still appears with 4K sources unless you manually turn it off. Competing 4K TVs offer better color and a more natural image, especially prior to picture setting calibration.

Great contrast and a market-busting price, along with a software update that largely fixes its video processing woes, help make the Vizio P series the best 4K value available today.
