Vizio P-Series review: an incredible 4K TV and showcase for Google Cast

Vizio's 2016 lineup of 4K HDR TVs aren't actually TVs at all. Well, they are, but since they don't have tuners built in, the company can't market them as television sets. Instead, I've spent the...

Best-in-class picture quality for LED LCD ; 5 HDMI inputs ; HDR is stunning — if you can find the content

Smartcast can be buggy and takes time to learn ; Mediocre built-in sound ; Some people will miss built-in Netflix

Vizio P-Series 2016 review

Most of the time when I tell someone that a Vizio TV has a better picture than a Samsung, LG or Sony, they're incredulous. "Really?" they ask. "But it's so much cheaper. How is that possible?"

The Vizio P-Series has outstanding overall picture quality that competes well against the highest-end TVs. It can handle both high-dynamic-range formats. The remote is a fully functional Android tablet. The Google Cast system offers more apps and...

Using the tablet for settings and streaming apps is often more of a hassle than traditional onscreen menus. No built-in tuner, so you can't watch over-the-air antenna broadcasts unless you attach a separate tuner.

Forget the "free tablet," the real story with Vizio's excellent P-Series TV is top-notch picture quality and future-ready features at an affordable price.

Vizio P Series 2016 4K HDR Ultra HD TV Review (P50-C1, P55-C1, P65-C1, P75-C1)

Vizio has really come into its own since first kickstarting their drive for reputation via superior but affordable 4K UHD TVs with great specs, back in late 2014 with their first P-Series models and their revolutionary pricing for the time. Since then,...

Superb high dynamic range ; HDR10 and Dolby Vision compatible ; Excellent contrast ; Vizio SmartCast mobile smart TV ; Included tablet ; Incredible black levels ; Great color performance ; Wonderful motion control specs

No 3D ; Weak viewing angles ; Peak brightness could be still higher ; SmartCast glitches up sometimes

The bottom line you need to keep in mind for the Vizio P-Series is that quite simply, these are some of the best 4K LED/LCD HDR TVs we’ve seen for 2016. When you balance out their prices and the quality that all of the models uniformly share, we’d...

Vizio P Series 2016 TV

The Vizio P Series 2016 has one of the best picture quality we have seen. It really shines in a dark room. It isn't OLED and it won't please everyone - especially because of its poor upscaling of low-quality content - but those looking for a TV for...

Great picture quality, especially for movies ; Great gaming TV, with low input lag and little motion blur ; Bright, even on full screens

Sub-par upscaling of lower resolutions ; Loss of picture quality at an angle

Vizio SmartCast 55-inch P-Series Review: Excellent Picture, Excellent Price

The 55-inch P-Series is an excellent 4K TV for the money, no question. It delivers a crisp picture and not only ably upscales current HD programming but is also ready for HDR and (hopefully to come) Dolby Vision movies. The only question some shoppers...

Excellent 4K picture quality ; HDR and Dolby Vision compatible ; Competitively priced

No TV tuner ; Slow Android remote control

Offering a great picture and an updated smart-TV interface, the Vizio P-Series 55-inch 4K Ultra HD set is a smart choice for those who want state-of-the-art features for a reasonable price.

Vizio SmartCast P-Series Ultra HD review

These TVs directly cater to cord-cutters

SmartCast > smart apps ; Supports 4K, HDR streaming ; Future-proof

A tad pricey, even for a 4K TV

The Vizio SmartCast P-Series is at the place where smart TVs have been striving towards, but until now have never quite reached.

I agree with the reviewer 100%

Best value for a 75" TV out there. We love it, in fact marvel at it each time we use it.

The picture. and quality of construction is superb.

It is a little heavy and it was difficult to find.

Vizio P 65 C1 Best TV for the price and then some

I have had this TV for about 2 weeks now and I must say compared to a 2 year old Vizio M series and a Panasonic plasma (used to be my bet TV) both 65 inch tvs, this one out shines both in every way. The picture on 720P an up from the Direct TV is...

Picture quality, value

its not OLED, Tablet
