You buy it - you own it

No nonsense old school network setup. Does require some expertise, but lets me configure it just how I want it. None of that privacy encroaching Cloud service stuff that other companies force on you. I buy it - I own it. Also, the Android app is pretty...

Motion detection feature is pretty dumb and limited. Kind of average really, but in this day and age one could expect better

looks good but....

I consider myself a tech person. was able get into device and configure but settings never stayed, could not access remotely after config. Sure there are better products out there.

tough setup, for my stuff at least

Manufacturer should post a little text tutorial to use this camera in Linux motion and zoneminder. Here's a little help. Zoneminder:Remote Host Name: .Remote Host Path: /video/mjpg.cgi. linux motion: netcam_url http:///video/mjpg.cgi Disable user...

Nice picture. Took a while to figure it out but got it working with linux zoneminder and motion. Windows "should be" a breeze, I think. Don't use it though

Had to do firmware upgrade to use java viewer. Do it with ethernet not radio

Pan and tilt works great, but camera does not offer a true video recording solution

I have wanted to purchase a few outdoor cameras for home security and saw this model listed in the newegg email deals. I decided to purchase this unit as my guinea pig model. If I liked it, then I would look into purchasing the more expensive outdoor...

The PTZ (pan-tilt-zoom) features work really well. I would even call the pan and tilt (but not the zoom) operations "incredible" considering the price point ; You can create “preset locations”. These can be used to change the focal point quickly on...

The camera does not record video (other than via the iOS app to your iOS device); rather, it sends image (.jpg) files via FTP and/or email. Depending on your requirements for the camera, this may be a good or bad thing. I found it frustrating to scan...

Drops connection, flawed PTZ, no support

When it worked, setup was easy, video quality was fine, PTZ worked, mostly

1) Using latest firmware, but the camera has disconnected from the Wifi network several times over a few weeks, and power cycling could not restore it. It had to be completely reset using the hard reset button, rendering this camera completely useless...

Great product overall

Great PTZ cam for the price.

Good image quality (it's a manual focus) up to 20~30ft away. Night mode has significantly less distance, maybe 10~15ft away tops. Physical install was easy with the included mounting bracket. Software works fine...once you get to know it. Looks like...

I subtracted an egg due to the software and not the hardware that comes with this kit. It took some work to get the motion detection working properly, mainly because there are so many options in the ProView software, but the settings you need for this...
