Hercules' latest webcam joins a relatively overcrowded market, so it's lucky that it has a few features that set it apart from similarly priced units. It's particularly cheap at only £27, which would immediately suggest a deficit in terms of features...

Horrible investment

 

Don't buy these. We thought they were a good buy cause they were cheap but it turns out they were just CHEAP. I can't even give them 2 eggs beacuse it's not like they work but work poorly, they don't even work.

I work in I.T. for a theme park chain and we bought like 35 of these for our season pass computers, and maybe 1 in every 4 broke within the first 2 weeks. They just stop working and windows fails to recognize them from that point on. They show up as...

While it works 98 % of the time

 

Most of the Cons are justified by the price. As expected this web cam did not work on my Ubuntu Linux box. I regret now i did not invest more money for a better web cam.

Overall cam design is good, it stands on it's own or on the screen well. Easy position adjustments ; Reasonable cable length. Comfortable sharpness adjustment

Occasionally flicks between bright and dark ; unstable software, caused blue screen crash on Windows Xp 2 times in a span of one week ; shows slight imprint on the lens. Not ideal for skype, the bandwidth and frame rate was bad with the combination of...

HD Laughable about as HD as a Gameboy

 

I shouldn't have expected much for a tenner and they do say buy cheap buy twice and this is certainly the case with this webcam the picture quality is awful do not buy unless you want a really poor pix-elated image
