Logitech 960000240 1.3 MP Effective Pixels USB 2.0 QuickCam Communicate MP

For $20, this is an exceptional webcam. The stand is very easy to put on top of almost any LCD monitor, and I think it looks very attractive. Image quality is excellent. With a wide angle lens, it's very easy to position the camera to get a full view...

Very inexpensive ; Fairly attractive ; Integrated Microphone ; Sturdy Stand ; Wide angle view ; Privacy Shade

Fixed focus ; Large compared to newer webcams

Nothing about this was truly horrible. It was just a lot of little things made it...disappointing. I expected better. I'm not so upset that I'm looking for a refund or going to go rail about how bad it is on a bunch of forums, but I do sorta regret the...

Worked ; OK resolution

Color depth not so great ; Locked in to one format of video ; Does not include Win7 drivers. Had to go to the website to download them, and then it wasn't easy to find ; Frame rate sucked

Good deal for Skype Family

Good price and works as advertised

Not as "attractive" as some of the more expensive/recent cameras

Works with Linux

I'm considering getting a second one to send to my father for his PC, so that we can chat. I'm happy that it worked right out-of-the-box for Linux, as so many manufacturers don't make that easy.

Works with OpenSuSE 11.3 Linux, no problem. Probably with 11.2 & 11.1 too. Has a "shutter" to cover lens, if you're nervous about some privacy or to protect the lens. Long enough wire (unlike a Philips webcam) to actually reach from my screen to my...

No focus feature. Acceptable, but not great image quality

Does what I expect it to

Bought to use with skype, didn't want to spend a bunch of money on crazy good quality. Was pleasantly surprised at the pretty good quality. Does everything I expect it to.

Works with skype ; Good quality

Works great in Ubuntu 9.04

Thanks newegg!

I like this web cam, it works out of box with Ubuntu 9.04 and skype in Ubuntu. I bought this cam to replace my aged webcam and from a recommendation from my cousin who has the next model up. Works great in Vista and Skype as well. It's got a neat...

Works amazing.

The following did not affect the use of the webcam itself or the use with Skype or Digsby. I upgraded to Windows 7 Release Candidate (7100) 64-bit recently and when I try to install the webcam disc that came along with the webcam I get an error "This...

Drivers were installed painlessly even without the CD. The cd did add some picture effects and such. Compatible with Skype which is exactly why I purchased this webcam. The call quality is great and the microphone picks up voice very well

If the monitor isn't flat in the back you have to work with the webcam to make it fit and adjust correctly

Vista32 & Vista64 - Awesome

Above comment is sarcasm, in case it wasn't obvious.

Worked well w/o any hiccups installing on a 32bit and 64bit Vista. Updated drivers automatically, rebooted fine, no errors whatsoever. Picture quality, while not HD, is fantastic

Not HD. Like W - T - F

Logitech 960-000240 1.3 MP Effective Pixels USB QuickCam Communicate MP - Retail

Linux support could be better. Adjusting things like exposure, brightness, and contrast require using a command line interface. Certain adjustments and effects can reduce the frame rate on slower computers.

Inexpensive, works well, is supported on Linux.
