Failure with USB Extension

On a third PC, the webcam worked just fine. I don't know what's up, but I probably got a defective item. Anyway, Newegg refunded me, and I bought a different webcam. Thanks Newegg!

Works *without fiddling* with Skype on Ubuntu 10.10. No drivers. Plugged it in and it JUST WORKS

The product is swell, but it ships in stupid clamshell packaging, which requires special tools to open. Do manufacturers just not listen to their customers? I HATE having to use a plasma torch to open the package ; No fifth egg for manufacturers that...

Rosewill RCM-3201V True 1.3 M Effective Pixels USB WebCam

Rosewill and Newegg are a winning combination, anytime and everytime. I've bought dozens of economically priced Rosewill products over the course of a decade and I've never been disappointed once.

Great little webcam for an amazing price, nice picture quality and good sound capture. Windows 7 recognized it right away and now I can Skype and video chat easily and conveniently

None...for the price you pay you aren't going to find one better

Bad sound

We bought two of these and have used them on at least 6 different machines. We see the sound problem each time. It's definitely the cameras. I would not buy these again.

Small size and small price. Nice picture. Easy installation in both Windows XP and 7

Makes you sound high pitched and squeaky. Kind of like Mickey Mouse on helium. This problem comes and goes randomly ; The ring on the lens is small and hard to turn to adjust focal length

It took a little while to get the flexible stand to a point where it felt stable on top of my LCD monitor. If your monitor is very thin (such as a laptop) or the edges are curved (also such as a laptop), it may be more difficult
