TRENDnet TV-IP201W IP Camera

Cheap and most definitely cheerful. If you're new to surveillance this may be the best entry level option.

While viewing the image you can turn the video and audio on and off or set the camera to trigger mode. There are buttons for capturing a still of the current image and specifying what folder to put the captured files into. All other settings are...

OK image, but stable

Bottom line...good stable camera, the image is sharp and has good color, but is a little grainy. Trendnet TV-IP100 & 410 have much better image quality. I bought these cameras on sale at $70 and at that price I think it is an excellent product, no...

Works with ZoneMinder ; Admin Interface accessible through IE and Firefox

Image is grainy ; Comes Stock with narrow angle lens, but I guess some people might like that

overpriced, not very high quality

Got 2 of these over a year ago and wanted to monitor the pool. Can't remember a time they worked reliably. They never were even worth mounting.

Lots of features on the box

Software uses a lot of processing power for motion detection. The entire system is buggy and unreliable. waste of money. I DO NOT recommend these

Poor image

I changed out the lense to 2.8mm wide angle lense and the picture quality didn't change.

good price, with audio

poor image quality, really rainy, compare to the tv-ip100 and ip100N

Great camera

Much better than the wireless cameras I bought from a certain popular networking product brand that starts with D. I will be buying more of these.

Smooth motion, easy setup if you know beginner networking. Good free software, reliable connection

grainy picture

What's Not To Like?

I set this thing up as a bird-feeder cam for my Web site, as a replacement for an Intellinet 550710, which was fine but didn't include WiFi. Overall, the TrendNet cam is a noticeable improvement, with a slightly better feature set and picture quality...

Ethernet and 802.11b/g connectivity with WPA encryption (it really does support WPA, even though none of the product literature says so), perfectly acceptable picture quality, interchangeable CS-mount lens capability, decent low-light capability, nice...

None, really

Awesome Wireless IP Camera

This is my first purchase with NewEgg.Com, and wow... The shipping was incredibly fast! As for the camera, it's exactly what I wanted. If you'd care to see what this camera can do in a real, live application, I have it running at nepa309.com. Click...

The onboard operating system (Debian, I believe) is the main reason to buy an IP camera. The mount is beyond sturdy, the lens is replaceable, and the firmware is very easy to use - with little or no explanations needed. The daytime picture is...

The fault of a picture occasionally freezing up, I think, is an outdated CVCS Java Applet (time to code up a new one, TRENDnet). Also, yes - the night time picture is grainy, but more than acceptable for a camera in this price range. It outperforms its...

Good Camera, Tried Many

I have used a wall timer to have the camera turn off for 15 minutes at 3a.m. and then turn back on every night. It keeps the camera from getting stuck and wakes it up. It is a cheap $7 wall timer from Walgrens. I have installed 40 + of this particular...

Very simple camera. A must to change out the lens for a wider lens. It makes a ton of difference, even for low light compared to stock lens. Don't waste your time with the software that is included with the camera, except for the SETUP Wizard. I use...

Every now and then you will get a bad camera that will drive you nuts. Don't waste too much time, return and get another one

BAD DEVICE

Support is terrible. Four days after sending a request for support I emailed again and ask Am I going to get some help here? they ask a couple questions and now three.days and I have not heard back again. GOOD PRODUCT IDEAL BUT BAD PROVIDER. DON"T BUY...

I would have been nice to watch the house when away and it has worked that much in I was able to set it up to view over the internet. When it works it is great I will have to purchase another brand.

Device locks up several times a day sometimes coming back to where it could be acessed. Sometimes having to be hard reset before becoming funtional again. .Software package does not work correctly even after the firmware and verison updates.

TRENDnet TV-IP201W 640 x 480 MAX Resolution RJ45 Wireless Camera

Great camera for the price. Really easy to setup for me. Newegg had this thing sent to me via the Enterprise's transporter room i believe. Only took a day in shipping.....WOW

Wish it had a wider angle lens. Could be troublesome for some to setup as the camera comes default with a private static of 192.168.0.30 and if you have your network on any other ip ie.... 192.168.1.1 or so this could be a difficult setup. Once in the...
